Ninjas getting marked after capturing
I used to think porting a keep we lost was the coolest thing ever, then I realized how lame it was to hide in my once t3 objective to save the karma train 5min of kmart ramming.
Ofcoarse there is always sneaking in behind the 3rd faction taking the 2nd faction’s keep.
Adding a badge cost to a lever (always available) that marks enemies in a keep for 1min instead of 5min immediately after capture would be more engaging.
They could remove it from towers as they are small enough that anyone can sweep in a reasonable time.
I have the cure to what ails you!
Get yourself a thief buddy or two to stealth you. You don’t show up if you’re in stealth so they can camp stealth for you really easily while moving around.
Another alternative is to find 10 mesmers and chain traited mass invis while you run around with no indication you’re there….
I don’t like stealth. And I don’t enjoy looking for enemies. Every enemy around objectives you own should be marked, always.
Ahh I remember the good old days once I managed to roam around in inner sm for 3 howers BC commander did not have time to take it by the time I ported zerg in sm was t3 it was helerious xd they did not see it comeing

I haven’t tested this in Alpine but in Desert the enemy dot still shows on the mini map even when the player is stealthed. It is really easy to kill “hidden” mesmers in the Desert keeps. I figured they would do the same for Alpine.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”

From what I remember it only shows where you were last marked however if you are in stealth while the keep flips then you don’t show up at all until you leave stealth. Might need testing again with Alpine borders though…

It moves with the player even stealthed. You can see it with the flag scouts or radar as well. If that circle appears under their feet, the mini-map will track that player regardless of stealth.

I’ll test it tonight then, got a friend or two on the server I’m against atm so I can get marked by a sentry and they can say what’s happening with my dots etc.
agreed. the marked thing needs to go.
This should’ve been done years ago. The idea that a whole zerg must search every nook and cranny of a Keep just because one profession that has the ability to bypass any and all defenses was ridiculous. Especially on a profession as evasive as a Mesmer.

For me it has always been a sport or an art of hiding. I’ve done this for years, exclusively in inner keeps. I probably put much more passion, experience and thoughts about strategies into this than you can imagine and probably have been the last mesmer in wvw who still did this on DBL despite the marked debuff working correctly. I’m very displeased with the current state.
No… in fact they need add the marking buff onto SM as well…. porting into keeps/sm is as lame as it can get…
Look at how effective someone is in a full Dire set.
Nice balance.
