Well we all know, that sometimes u geting stucked in the same Matchup for weeks with the current “Random Matchup System”. That´s a big issue for many active WvW-Players.
I give you an example from my Point of View to describe this issue:

“I play on Kodash[DE] with my WvW orientated Guild. We play WvW mostly for the Fights. The more fights we get at an evening the better it gets. But fighting the same Enemies for three weeks in a row isnt entertaining at all. Actually we(#2) are stucked vs Baruch Bay[SP](#8) and Riverside[DE](#10). Well let´s say we dont get many fights in this Matchup. So after the 2nd Week we are already that bored that we will not going to have a Raid this week.”

How is it going on other servers? Same experiences? Are you fine with the current Matchup making System?

From my side i would appreciate a change in the current Matchup-making-system, because the current system doesn’t support the variety. And this is exactly what a game needs stay alive.

So my Question to the contributers of Anet:
Is it possible to implement a Matchup System with real variety from a last-week- Matchup to a next-week-Matchup?

T2 Has been in the same matchup for over 5 months now.. its boring, people are moving to other servers or just flat out quitting.

I hear T1 is having the same issues as well. Lots of people are bouncing around to the bandwagon servers, (FA,BG, YB, SBI etc etc) because somehow they are still not “Full” this is creating a major population problem that has been addressed in these forums time and time again.

It’s not viable in NA. You can take a look at some of our matchups, and the system has already matched most of them to be in close in rank as possible, but there’s still great disparity that would be worse if we have more variety http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups/

I am currently on a t3 server, and it is simply not pleasant on either end if we get matched with a t2 or t4. Even karma trainers will get bored if there’s nothing left to capture.

The problem is, the matchups are stale AND often blowouts anyway. fa has been winning by 20k and usually closer to 50k for months (until this last week) while YB beating SOS by 20k+ as well.

T1 has been close, but some of the guilds play on multiple sides just to keep it that way.

If The scores are sort of predetermined at the beginning of the week anyway, might as well add variety….. I think the variety was why some wanted a tourney…..

I think NA has it worse. There’s often a large population difference between every tier to the point if a server gets randomly pushed up or down it generally causes massive score disparities and I don’t think anyone finds that fun. So it makes things pretty stale. And even in the “good” match ups it’s normally known who will come first. The only thing that really spices things up is mass exoduses or mass influxes of players. Looking at the current rankings I see a few anomalies that might indicate some population movement or a influx of returning players.
