OK, how lame is that, siege disappears in keeps so you have no defense when attacked, who ever heard of siege disappearing inside a keep, outside I understand but inside, just plain silly,

The first time you have an enemy spy build 100 rams in a supply camp and siege cap you, you’ll be happy it disappears. Tap it to keep it active.

Also… it might not be “disappearing” as much as “destroyed”. I regularly take my thief around and clear out enemy siege, and you would be surprised how much is reachable by a thief or elementalist.

You need to have someone tap your siege every 25 mins so it does not despawn.

Like Orikx said, getting seige capped by no means of your own sux.

Also in home borders siege in keeps gets killed by quaggan lightning storms so keep this in mind as well.

According to Anet, rams have a different count on the map to other siege. You can have 100 rams on map and that won’t affect your 100 siege count of other types.

As for the other types disappearing, it’s either A: enemies coming around and taking it out furtively or B: siege left unattended for more than 30 minutes will despawn or C: quaggan lightning nuking it out .. watch your seige, it’ll lose health over a period of time .. that’s from the quaggans. For a time there, quaggans, allied or agro would summon lightning and take out the siege. Pain in the you know what .. it appears to have improved recently, however, with siege lasting longer than it once did.

I have an issue with the cap radius. lets say you defend your keep with seige placement and you place 5 siege to counter them and thier siege. then they move to another location within the radius and attack there.. well now you cant defend with siege since your siege is still up and within the radius of the new siege you need to place to defend.

First, try spreading your siege our, makes it harder for them to focus the siege down. If you stack them It makes it easier for the enemy to aoe them down. Other points to this, you can rotate siege so when they move just rotate them. Lastly I have never seen a spot where it’s beneficial to stack that much siege in one area to defend. Plenty of wall space, and like I said before it’s better to spread the siege out.
