Well, in this case I think the words “permanent resistance” is an exaggeration. Especially given that most of this “permanent resistance” you speak of relies upon a 25% chance proc(and a 20sec internal cd) on a set of runes…A blob has a very good chance to proc A LOT of it though. Still probably not permanent though.
but no, what I want is the means to investigate claims exactly like this one. For just a week. Allow me to quote myself,
Why not for just a week revert stability mechanics back to the original state, giving all of us the chance to put such claims to the test for ourselves? Just a thought.

Not sure what specifically you are trying to point out here about revs. If you’re talking about facets, there isn’t one for stab. If you’re referencing IR on Dwarf stance just remove the pulse application and make it apply to the priority 5 players per skill. Not complicated to rework for stab 1.0, but again I’m guessing at what you are trying to point out here because your comment doesn’t leave me much to go off of.

That isn’t what he means, the boon share meta is more than just durability runes. You can pretty much get perma stab/resistance between a mesmer using signet of inspiration, and a rev spamming pain absorption (while maintaining facet of nature for +50% boon duration). Or just run another boon share mesmer if you don’t have a rev (this meta has been around pre-HoT, a lot of Sea timezone have used it for the last couple years). Add in an aurashare tempest your set to blob things down.

You can also gear for another +50% boon duration if you really wish due to platinum doubloons and the new concentration stat.
We really don’t need to revert to old stab just to test it, especially with this boon share stuff. There won’t be much difference between the current stab, and the original. Smaller roaming fights there might be a difference if you can spam ccs to strip it down fast enough (though you might be better off kiting and letting it drain off).

Anet already did this to Tempest Warhorn which made it crap-tier from decent. They could have just removed those 3 boons from the share-list but instead they thought it should only share might and fury. Why can’t they do it to Mesmer?

That’s a very good point Kyon, about changing the sharelist.
I always thought it would be interesting to make resistance stackable…like one stack of resistance gives immunity to one condi on you…3 stacks make you immune to three condis currently on you, etc.

I would like to see ANet try a 3 month experiment of changing certain mechanics each week (or month). Ideally, they’d ask in the forums for specific suggestions and ask us to vote on our favorites from a list that they collated (filtering appropriately).
I’m sure that a lot of people would be interested in queuing up in order to see what happens. Some weeks, of course, would be horrible. I think it would be a lot fun.
As much as I loved the old stab and hammer train meta, I think they found a nice medium for once with the current stab.
