Why is it that no one wants to seem to duel in OS anymore? I really want to dual legit players 1v1. There is not a real sense of 1v1 anywhere else in wvw.

I get plenty of 1v1 duels in OS.

It takes a while to start things going, but once there are several duelers in the OS, usually it’s easy to get more to join. Try roaming and party other roamers(or you could try guesting on the other servers and propose duels while in LA?) – asking them to ask if there are any 1v1 duelers on their map/team chat. It might take time and luck, but it should work after some tries.

I only find p/d condi thieves, d/p stealth thieves, and pu condi mesmers in OS duels, which gets boring after awhile. Sometimes it’s nice to fight other classes/builds.

Basically this if you reverse it I loved dueling on my thief but I feel I need to do something new with it so other duelists have something interesting to play against so I’m waiting to see if new patches will give us a new thief (or mesmer, Necro ect) cool idea to try.

Go to Spvp & look for 1v1 arenas, 1v1 in WvW is a joke is the most handicapped place to do that.

Hmmm, seems to work fine here in the lower EU tiers. There are plenty of duelists in OS whenever i go there

Though, the build diversity doesn’t seem to be that great. If i were to enlist the builds that i almost exclusively encounter there, it would be
- Perplexity Condition Engineer
- Dhuumfire Necromancer
- Dhuumfire Necromancer… with Perplexity !
- Longbow | Sword/Sword Warrior Condibunker
- PU Condition Mesmer
- PU Condition Mesmer… with Perplexity!
- Condition Mesmer (rarer, but still pretty often there)
- P/D Condition Thief
- D/P “Permastealth” Might-stacking Powerthief (wow, finally a Powerbuild)

or less often

- 3 Meditation Guardians
- D/D or Sc/X Elementalists, but they seem much rarer than the others mentioned

I’am always happy if i encounter something that isn’t part of the first list :P

Yeah, that behaviour is certainly annoying. Luckily we got almost always enough duelists within the arena to kill 1-5 trolls, should they ever dare interrupting duels, finishing downed participants, or just attacking people there without mutual agreement. It’s always nice to see how the duelists from two opposing servers then continue to beat the sh*** out of the trolls and avoiding “friendly fire” at the same time, while the Duelists allied to the trolls just stand there without interfering (+1 for “they had it coming” attitude!).

I duel in OS quite often and I find it pretty cool compared to a normal roaming experience, its also nice to chat a bit and compare builds/tactics after a duel.

Sure it also depend on the matchup you in, last week we had RS and they are one of the worst server to face because most of them are not that good in pvp and they prefer to do 10vs1 than a 1vs1.. go figure, the last night of that matchup me and a Deso guy fought against 4 RS togheter and it was hilarious trying not to kill each other with aoes.

I usually play with :

- Ranger
- Ele
- Mesmer ( not playing that much anymore cause it’s a bit too OP )

Good server with good fighters are :

- GH
- Desolation
- AG
- Gandara
- JS
- SFR
- Vizunah

I think mag is pretty well known for its roamers/duelers, so many people go there to seek us out.

I’m not sure about every other server. Since they released OS, we’ve only fought like 4 unique servers I believe. Each has fielded a force against us but one.. And in our current matchup against FA and YB, we’ve got lots of action there.

In Gunnar’s Hold, there is ALWAYS someone in the OS trying to get some duels. Too bad not many other servers provide us the fun we seek. Before starting my roaming session I always go check the OS. Usually I come back when I lose my stacks and die.

So far, the best duelers I’ve fought are in AG, period. No other server has provided me the quality of players I’ve seen in AG.
I believe we have some good players in GH too. Miller’s Sound is another server with good duelers.

I have met people from AM, FSP, JS and Desolation too, but no one of them was really outstanding imho.

Poor faded glory Riot, not surprised.
Staying in t1na was a mistake if you wanted anything but blob action. After 15 months we finally moved off, wish we’d done it long before.
