Retroactive credit would be silly.

They didn’t do it for the daily laurels, they won’t do it for this either.

They dont retroactively give anything away for new content, why should wvw be any different?

Are you saying those 1000 hours you spent in wvw before were wasted? That you only play for the rewards? That you didnt have fun?

That’s like banks and internet companies giving out rewards to long time loyal customers instead of just the NEW signups.

You (and I) played WvW under the previous model because we thought it was rewarding enough then (help boredom, XP, tokens of jumping, etc). Now that they’ve improved the rewards, you think you should just be given them because you played it before? Sorry sir, but your viewpoint is nothing but a meaningless sense of entitlement.

Would be cool if that logic worked – buy a car once and get every future model for free because I already spent the money. Sit in the gym for a few months watching TV, then start working out and have all the previous time retroactively apply even though something different is being done just because it’s the gym. You get my point.

How about instead of being upset about what you did not get in the past you get excited about what you will be getting now?

Or is it just more fun to be mad? I don’t know. Honest question..

I actually agree with Ethose, too many people just complain to expel air nowadays.

WvW is a reward in itself, true. Many players already know this and have put many hours into WvW while representing their server/guild with pride and genuine effort. They deserve retroactive rewards.

Folks who play for loot bragging rights will just have to play catch-up, I suppose. Them’s the breaks! There won’t be any game-breaking mechanics added to WvW, anyway. The in-game benifits of combat vs real, thinking opponents will be minimal. It’s been this way in every MMO that I’ve ever played.
