I’m quite saddened at the inability for veteran WvW players to have anything to show for their commitment to Wvw. I’ve been wvwing since I got my character to 80, and have over 700 hours in Wvw. Arena Net gives us hope with the WvW update in March for new rewards and titles to give more incentive to WvW, but it still doesn’t compensate for that fact that committed WvWers will still have nothing to show for that devotion.

Not a complete truth. The are adding new gear that can be purchased with badges and if your anything like me you have stacks of the things just sitting. That is something to show.

Why bother to do nice things for us? We don’t buy gems.

If you WvW as much as you claim to, and are good at it, you will get the rewards faster than anyone else anyway.

I don’t understand the big deal, you’re still going to be ahead.

I agree. If they decide not to have a way to compensate players for past rewards(aside from badge gear), that will only further the feeling by WvW players that we are largely neglected.

The difference between wv3 vets and newbs is newbs save their boh’s and vets spend them on you know siege weapons, armor, weapons.

I’m more interested in finding out whether those of us who have never transferred servers would be rewarded for never having bandwagoned.

I can see the recent (post gem fee) transfer getting the title " Aide-De-Gem-Camp" WV3 title but as for the rest of us…meh not so much.

:( I wish siege dropped that often from my kills.

But anywho, I don’t have much of a problem with the no retroactive system.

Whatever we don’t buy gems…
I buy at least 20-35$ worth of gems every 2 weeks JUST to convert to gold so I can buy siege, upgrade towers/camps etc.

I don’t do PvE, so how else do we get the gold to actually contribute? Considering the cost of upgrades, buying enough siege to ALWAYS have some of everything to drop for a commander at a moments notice and then adding repairs on top of that… It’s kitten expensive man.
