You can’t be serious. I just spent a lot of gold during the past few weeks to build guild catapults and know a lot of people who spent their last influence on the same – just to find that they now cost 50 supply.
Why would you make such a harsh change? Did I miss an announcement for that?
I know that guild catapults are op but let’s be serious, a zerg that can build high amounts of guild catapults won’t really care whether it’s 25 or 50 supply. The players you’re effecting with this change are roamers and smallscalers.

Well this is a good news to be honest.

It was way too OP to be able to build 4 guild catas with 5 people without resupply.

And yes, big zergs won’t care but they will notice the change anyways. You will need to resupply twice as much now if you build guild catas.

im tired to see 2 nabs clearing an entire map during nighttime …using guild catas…and i hope roaming is receiving even more nerfing …stronger guards /lords please….camps even ..should take 5 peoble at least to flip a camp.

I’m in the same boat, volpenvieh, and I was thinking the same thing when I read the patch notes. Not a fan of this change, as it’s just another thing that makes my playstyle less effective. First they take away our +5 and now we need even more supplies for guild catas? I thought the new map was supposed to discourage zerging?

I thought I was being overdramatic about feeling like roaming has gotten worse over the course of the past few months but… I might just have to call it quits and find a small scale guild to team up with. Just can’t do things by yourself anymore.

I couldn’t find anything specific in anet’s blog and forum posts, but I assume it’s locked behind the guild hall and war room upgrade/scribe levelling, which will certainly take roamers a while to get.

Uhm what is the problem? You just do more supply runs? I have often first flip a camp alone and then build a flaming ram or a catapult alone. I have successfully take many objective alone, if it is not defended. Sometimes 1-2 defenders won’t stop me.

I was yesterday commanding and at first I had just one following my tag. It took us a long time to build 2 normal catapults to take down a keep wall. The trick is first to flip both camps feeding the keep, then build the catapults and only then start to pummel the wall, because that triggers white swords after 30 seconds. It is always a race against time. A smart player builds all the siege, before hitting the gate/wall, not to trigger the alarm too early, unless you want to cause false alarms, which I do very often as well.

Quite soon I got roughly 10 followers to my tag and we took all the enemy keeps and towers, except for 1 tower, before going back to defend the home tower. And this happened around 3-4 pm afternoon. Anyways, my point is: you do NOT need a large group to accomplish things. Be fast, be sneaky and most importantly time your attacks well.

Guild catapult used to be too good. Now the resources needed to build is balanced per the power it gives.

This change is going to set back many havoc guilds and celebrity pugmanders, though I think we’ll be unaffected. My gut instinct is that we’ll see a polarization towards large scale sieges and hardcore havoc.

Guild catapult used to be too good. Now the resources needed to build is balanced per the power it gives.

I wasn’t being sarcastic. I really do love this change.

Also, I’m in the crowd that solo builds siege and knocks walls down w/e possible, though I’m not cool enough to then solo the lord.

Pretty sure it’s just locked behind guild hall, one of the war room upgrades.

Well I didn’t find the buff in the guild panel so far so I’d say it’s gone but I’m not 100% sure because I haven’t looked at the keep/tower upgrades yet.

We fought our way through the guild hall with 5 people which was possible but tough. To claim your hall you have to move around the hall and kill 5 champs with about 3min for every champ. To make the champ vulnerable you have to kill mobs first. Every time you fail to kill a champ before time is up the toxicity rises. After the 5 champs you have to kill 1 final boss which can pretty much oneshot you. So you probably won’t be able to complete this alone but maybe you can ask 4 people to help you?

Seems they all want us to move to Mega blob servers with crappy changes no small group no havok no roaming. Ive ran for 3 hours in wvw and saw 1 enemy. Everythin is fortified on their maps. RIP WvW. Nothing to see here as dead as EoTM.

Anet what drugs were you on when you thought this was a good idea. Every change youve made to wvw made it worse and worse for low pop servers. So sick of it.

Could not agree more…These are the changes they were touting? Who gave input on this? And to think I bought the xpack, time to ask for a refund and retire my account, I will not be playing this kitten.
