Hey guys, I just tried doing Edge of the Mists and every time I capture points with a zerg now I get around 20 to 80 exp now instead of around 500-700 exp. (My character is level 29) I tried joining a party too to see if that fixed the problem, but that didn’t work. Can anyone help me with this situation? Did Anet nerf EotM?

I think they nerfed the experience gain in eotm, until you are lv 30 or above, I have not confirmed if this is the case.

I did it yesterday at level 23 and it worked fine for the whole day, until this morning I tried EotM, but got reduced exp.

Yeah, something is acting strangely here. I went in there yesterday and leveled at least one time (I believe it was two levels tho, from 27 to 29). And then I noticed that after I hit 29, I have been getting a terrible amount of XP in there. Noticed it today and yesterday.

Except that there’s no indication it’s intentional at all, or that it’s even happening consistently.

Had the same problem along with a few others, They all said the same thing though. Once they got to 29 they got reduced XP, Been watching those posts to see if Anet says anything but no go.

Wouldn’t mind if it was intentional either, But I’d at least like to know if it was a bug or not. Considering I would prefer not to completely waste my birthday boost there if it a bug, I doubt Anet would give something to make up said lost XP.

They altered the way XP is gained at earlier levels, and nobody really knows how it seems to work now. There are reports of people only gaining 1 or 2 levels from crafting from 0 – 400 Chef, for example, but is that only true because they’re currently at newbie levels? Or something else?

We really need some concrete information from ANet about the way the rules work now.
