Not one Achievement based on defending!
lol. what did you expect. Everyone knows we spend more time in WvW JP then sieging up and defending things.

Because those achievements would make it worse for the defenders. Unnecessary upgrades, bad siege placement, keep supplies wasted on repair during siege and what not. There is not really any good way to make those achievements to work before they make events that properly work with defending.
The defense event is kind of a joke because you might not be able to trigger it even though you just repelled 20 guys from the gate by destroying their siege and making them pull off even if they contested the keep.
And then you get event Failed because that same keep got captured 2 hours afterwards while you were having a talk with Skritts on the far NW corner of the map ;P

Krall, you should know no defender ever repairs themselves! They either a) Orders a wall upgrade or b) shouts in team chat until zerg passes by and repairs! So it doesn’t count for defending!

It’s more like post- or pre-defensive action! Depends which way you want to observe the situation. If you want to think its post-defensive as it is done after the enemy siege or pre-defensive where you repair the wall before they siege again!
And if you happen to do it defensively as in the middle of the siege you will be called a supply waster! You know I will win you in this Krrrrrall!!

I agree with this. Why isnt there an achivement just simply “defend 50 times”, what means that you have to get the event “defended against enemies”. I see the Karma train growing….

It’s kills, and captures; 1 badge spender and 1 repair achievement, and of course all 4 of the kittening jumping puzzles, but not one of these achievements is based on actually claiming, upgrading or defending anything.
The zerg wins again.
A lot of these are good for roamers too. It’s not all about zergs.
As for defending, there should be some achievements for the 10 people who actually enjoy just sitting in towers all day.
FWIW, I have been single-capping camps and sentries as a roamer for about six months now. I was capable with full exotics. I think most professions should be able to do that. When it comes to towers, small groups are always capable. The achievements are possible without ever “having” to be in, say, a 20+ group. I see only 3 that I think would require a large group.

Anyone can flip an undefended tower with 3 to 4 people. A keep, maybe 5.
My point is even one defender can substantially slow those people down with an AC. So why is there nothing for that guy who is trying to hold on to a tower he built?

Because Arena Net doesn’t want us to defend. They have stated multiple times that they think WvW is more fun when stuff is frequently flipped.
