Well, Maguuma didn’t disappoint. The team in EB Borderlands did a great job usingthe stacking mechanic.

Unfortunately for those in EB Borderlands, EB is aware of this and is countering them with ballista where possible.

Last time we fought, Maguuma had a hacked orb or two and a bugged garrison (I don’t blame the entire server, mind you. Just a statement of fact concerning the last fight). It also seems like we’re kicking your butt more because your server is doing this silly stacking thing to hit the 5 AOE cap. We’re responding with ballistas and obliterating the stack.

However, I’m already seeing less and less of it. I think the EB borderlands group figured out that we aren’t stupid.

This is just what happens when you don’t get a freebie garrison in our borderlands.

We’ve gotten a few more players and it helps and shows. The biggest difference however is the amount of coordination and commitment that those who have always been here have started showing.

Guilds and people that were always here show up more and for longer now than they used to for sure. Guilds have started actually working together. The server formed it’s own forums and voice chat server and has been slowly adopting it,

I won’t pretend we didn’t get some players, but the biggest improvements are definitely from within. Because in all honesty, most of the transfers we did get are terrible lol. Not all mind you, but most.

As other people have already said in this thread though the advantages you had last time caused an even lower population than normal to turn out. It’s no fun to actually do everything you need to capture something and it be impossible to capture due to a big. Incredibly demoralizing. Especially something as pivotal as a garrison. That’s a large mobility and siege advantage as well as a strong defensive foothold.

Well at least you called it a mechanic and not an exploit this time. Can we at least TRY and keep this thread decent this time?

Also, that was a fun little fight over Red Borderlands for the past hour or so!

Well at least you called it a mechanic and not an exploit this time.

First post I’ve made on the subject. I used “exploiting” to mean “using” in a previous edit, though. I changed it to avoid appearing to be calling it an exploit.

I find it a questionable tactic, but you’re free to use it. Our lowbies love the free experience.

Can we please not go down this road again. We managed to not get any threads locked with last week’s match and we all had a great time. Don’t ruin it for this week.

Agreed, you got something to say to them about things like that? Say it on the battlefield with the tip of your sword. Bring ballistas with you 24/7 and say “Not in my house”.

As far as thieves go? Don’t get this thread locked over them. They will get their comeuppance soon enough, you can bet on that.

Score update for those stuck at work on this and every reset? Working nights and weekends is the suck! haha.

Ehmry has REALLY come together these past few weeks, and I’m proud of it. We’ve gained and lost a lot of players (RIP Tristana ((not dead, guild left)) ) but we’ve gained new ones. So far the match up is, tbh, between Ehmry and Mag. I don’t know what happened to Eradon, the server lost it’s alliance I guess, but there’s really no wvw presence coming from them at all. They own a few things here and there, but my group has been able to deal with them at cliffside for awhile. Mag is being Mag- annoying. I like it, I love this back and forth. Sounds like a fun week.

P.S. To the [FINE] guild, oh, we are definitely looking for you guys everywhere to take out. Pushes us to work even harder, just to wipe you guys out lol

This is a product of a hackless, bugless match. Nothing more. Honestly, I’m glad about that! I think it allows the servers an equal footing instead of being paranoid about the actions of a small few.

Also, great job to EB in EB borderlands for really stopping the Maguuma rush at the start of this match up. I think that is what made the difference. Eredon wasn’t present to stop the rush.

Looks like its gonna be along week for the ET fighters again.

This is the first time I’ve heard or seen this allegation that EB hacked the orb in the previous match. If that is the case, I greatly apologize for the hackers and wish I could have caught them to report them along with you. I assume, of course, that you reported them!

I am also not on any high horse. I answered a question as to how EB improved in WvWvW. We have improved through teamwork, having lucky breaks, and not having hackers and bad bugs become a penalizing factor. At the moment, EB is really seeing the benefit of great teamwork along with no overt hacking and exploiting as seen in the previous match with Maguuma (and other servers, of course. The question here was only to Maguuma, though). I definitely look forward to a fair match between all servers. I hope it becomes much less lopsided in time.

Also, there are some reports of some Maguuma users being seen speed hacking. Keep your eyes out for ‘em! As we’re all clearly against hacking and cheating, they should be reported regardless of server.

EB, to my knowledge, has never hacked an orb or gotten a glitched orb.

We have had our garrison glitched before where the enemy can’t take it, but that’s minor compared to having a glitched garrison in an enemy’s borderlands. One hardly affects the match-up. The other virtually guarantees victory by giving you a 2x point advantage.

Yes, to be fair, all of the reports I heard from the last match were Yak’s Bend and they owned up to it. So let’s stop talking about that and start talking about how Ehmry Bay has over 75% of points on prime time in the first night.

With no 3rd team to pivot off of it’s going to be a very limited week strategy-wise. That said i think us and maguuma trading punches is going to be a fun one.. Revenge!

It must have something to do with that both Ehmry Bay AND Maguuma are attacking us at the same time basicly….hmmmmm….

I’ll admit that the lack of a 3rd team hurts Maguuma quite a bit since Mag does …backdoor better then most servers

What part of every server was hacking don’t you people get? I’m simply adding you into the classification of every GW2 server that there ever was. Cheaters never really had a home. They simply server hopped around pissing in peoples cornflakes for their “fun”.

Anyway, I’m done talking about it. I’m just annoyed by this kitten that’s gone on about it 4 times in this thread now, when the thread hasn’t even gotten to the second page yet. Talk about pushing an agenda.

When we saw a group of eredon at pangloss we were shocked.. it was the first and only group of your server we saw today in eternal battlegrounds. I feel bad for you guys yer on your way to fight ferguson’s crossing.

Either way Mag puts up more fight than NSP….the winner will be whoever has the best non US primetime representation….like it always is.

The good ole <insert server here> always camps the jump puzzles argument. Every server does it, its annoying but unavoidable. Besides you can easily get through the EB jump puzzle while stealthed the whole way…although if the enemy team has an arrow cart constantly firing on certain spots that players have to walk through then you might be screwed.

……..can we just have a good match? I mean sheesh things are barely underway and folks are already scrambling for excuses and accusations.

I don’t care if both sides roasted kittens in their last match and then danced to Justin Beiber in only their underwear while slathered in chocolate pudding. Just get out there and fight and lets make THIS MATCH good and clean.

Be careful there might be a ballista nearby. I hear ballistas kill stacks.

And also ballistas can kill golems. Superior ballistas are really good at this, they can kill like 15 Alpha golems at once.

I gotta tell ya, I feel my dedication is almost inadequate in comparison to all the superior siege being thrown against us in our borderlands. Seems like every other siege is superior. I didn’t realize we touched EB in a way that would invoke such a strong response. I can almost hear “To Mag with Love” from the far distant skies, as arrows come crashing down under foot. I am truly moved by the sentiment and a smile is brought upon my lips. Your affection does not go unnoticed EB. Not in the least.

Well, bright side of this – we started to use superior siege more often. I doubt we could stop this 15 golems rush tonight without EB showing us how serious they are.

Did all the bad darkhaven players transfer to EB after the matchup before last or something? DH got a lot nicer so all of that rude had to go somewhere…

I believe a few players on Ebay might be using alt-f4 as I have experienced this multiple times earlier.

I’ve seen a few on EB use it. I’ve also seen many, many Maguuma players doing it. In fact, we had one player kill 3-4 people in a group match. When I strolled up, I held the group off long enough for those behind me to arrive to make the match fair. As soon as the Maguuma Invader saw that it was going to be a numerically even fight, he or she alt+f4ed. That ended up in us killing the leftover team of Maguuma.

I’ve also had a few Maguuma Invaders disappear when they were downed.

This is not to say Maguuma is the only server doing this. I’m sure all servers have players who are doing this. I’ve only fought Maguuma so far, though. (It’s a little asinine that I or anyone else has to constantly qualify that we’re not picking on specific servers by citing anecdotal evidence…)
