A little bit more than 3 month ago Devon Carver wrote on the Future of WvW:
“Right now our game rewards you for holding an objective, not necessarily for taking it, and overwhelmingly favors the last server to log out for the day. We have some ideas in the pipeline to try to increase scoring when people are playing the game and to make it much more difficult to keep your territory without actively guarding it.”

This was a pressing topic from the beginning, and nothing happen, neither since the beginning nor since this anouncement.

ruins must be actively defended or they uncap by themselves
and bloodlust+stomp=points

look at that, a new scoring system that rewards active play.

Hm, maybe that should be extended to every point: Either the keep/tower/camp is garrisioned (e.g. by 1/2 it’s point value) or it reverts to neutrality.
