Its a shame for all WvWvW players that a guild like Omnomberries [nOm] are camping the final room in the Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping Puzzle with 7 guys.

Why are people doing this …? Others do the JP 2 hours and in the end, a guild is camping the main room on the plattform. No way to get to them.

Just use the invisibility well past the arena.

Doing an event in a PvP zone and dieing to a guild in PvP…. hmm, whats the problem there ? If you really want to go do it, what till late, or really early.. problem solved.

Sorry to seem so negative about an issue that obviously bothers you enough to post about it but you are on a pvp map, why are you seemingly surprised when you get killed trying to do something?
Its no different to a guild or group camping a supply depot. The problem is that because its a jump puzzle people assume it should be pve.

I have no interest in the JP’s on the wvw maps and I don’t think they should even be on there, but as they are likely here to stay then in my eyes every enemy player camping a JP is one less attacker of a tower or keep when I am defending or one less defender when I am attacking.

Use the fountain. Also if you don’t like it complain to Anet loudly and help us remove PvE fom our PvP. We’re not happy PvE players take up PvP slots, so it’ll be a win for both player base.

PVP’ing in a PVP zone seems like a bug to me. Try filing a bug report.

This only works against bad campers.

Good ones will have traps, marks, etc all over to break stealth.

But less QQ about PvP happening.

Maybe they should rename Jump Puzzle to Camp Puzzle.
You have to figure how to get past the campers.

So fun camping, you should try it too.

This. If ANet didn’t want people to fight over the JP they wouldn’t have put it in a PvP zone.

How disappointing. I was expecting a pack of perma-stealth thieves camping Omnomberry-gathering spots in EB to deny the opposition access to food.

The jumping puzzle was made to cater to campers / gankers and small group fights with the traps and all that being there. That’s why they do it, they play in it as intended.

They actually called it a mini dungeon when they announced it would be added, not jumping puzzle.

Getting to the top of the jumping puzzle to camp — 20 minutes.

Knocking invaders down over and over again — 2 hours.

Having them come on the forums and whine about it. — Priceless.

I camp puzzles all the time, it prevents the enemy teams from harvesting blueprints. It’s not worth creating a crybaby post on the forums about.

It sounds like they were having fun. Good on them.

Imo puzzle pvp is much more fun than sPvP because I can use my PvE gear there.. So yeah I go to pvp there and mine my daily Orichalcums.

Interestingly enough the rewards for the “pve” are for “pvp”. So it stands to reason that the people doing the wvwvw jumping puzzles might have more than a passing interest in pvp? Yes?

If you take 2 hours to do a jumping puzzle you’re doing it wrong. Experienced players can run it in under 7 minutes with no problem.

A bunch of us SoR folks were camping our JP for a good 3 hours earlier. In the end, IoJ and Blackgate just piled up and overwhelmed us. A nice gank-fest ensued, much frustration was had by all, and it was fun. The jumping puzzles, particularly the EB jumping puzzle, are designed for combat. If you don’t like it, don’t go there.

If some guild chooses to camp the puzzle, let them. Most likely they are doing it because they can’t manage it outside of the puzzle so let them have their fun.
