Hello fellow GW2 forum dwellers! I haven’t had the time to read much into the future comm tag update, but I was wondering if there’ll ever be a tag or tag color that can only be seen by fellow guild members? I think it would be beneficial to the overall tactical efforts in WvW, enabling guilds to better arrange and maintain their campaigns in WvW, or at least helping the few guilds with less resources ( like TS channel ), these would most benefit from a tag.

I think it’s something that could use some thought, I could see a commander leading a Zerg, and within the Zerg a guild coordinated with the commander, with their own tag to enable more flexible tactics, like branching the Zerg into two to swallow the opposite Zerg from the sides, dividing the opposite DPS as well, etc.

It won’t get you what you want exactly (far from it) but it could give you some of the functionnalities a “guild only” tag could get.

On top of that, Guild only tags/Private Squads and other variations have been asked hundreds of times since beta (like colored tags and various shapes) and we still don’t have them (and probably never will sadly).

We’ve been asking for this pretty much since day one.

The geniuses at Anet do not seem to think that this is a priority.

The problem being that the WvW team at it’s peak was ONE person part time on it only. And now it’s even less part time than before (ie : 2/3 days every 5/6 months on WvW rest of the time on something else)

i hope they will create a visibility mode on com tag color and sell it with gems …..

this will cover guild private runs !

why sell it in TP ? because it is an exclusive service and they can add it in TP services tab :p
