We know anet meant wvw to be casually played, however it has become very competative. Humans by nature are competative and unfoetunately anet didnt forsee it. They might as well accept it and do something about it.
WvW currently is missing a very important feature of statistics.
1. Profiles
2. Rankings
3.realtime online scores
4. Leaderboards/ladders
5.any kind of statistics.

Many people including anet might not realise its importance yet. But its one of the only out of the game features that keeps people hooked for years and years.

Blizzard supports its players with this.. You will still find current rankings for even games released 15 yrs ago like warcraft 3 and diabloprogess.com is another good example.

Solution: in a recent intetview, habib said thwy would rather focus on in game updates first and even realtime current score online ia not in the works yet due to lack of resources. The easiest solution is to throw open the raw data to the community, corrently our only reference is mos.millenium.com who are doing a great job. We all would be surprised at what the community can do. Have faith in it.
