Only EB and Desert BL?
I do hope we don’t get 3 copies of the same map but instead have a reworked version of the Alpine map and EotM.
We know for sure that the BL are going to be swapped out so we will get 3 alpine one week and 3 desert another. If you ran different BL maps you will see unfair advantages for the side that had one bl vs the other bl.

Actually, unless Anet changed their statement in the last couple of months, it was said the following during the livestream:
“The Desert Borderlands Map will be replacing the old Borderlands map (Alpine Borderlands) when the expansion releases and we might reintroduce the old map in a rotation or tournament.”
If they didn’t officially announced the rotation of the maps, then one thing we know, only Desert Borderland and the Eternal Battlegrounds will be available.

From what I have seen and heard from wolfineer’s vid, it makes more sense to make this huge size map a replacement for EB instead of the borderlands.
People have been reporting that the new Desert BL is large. Perhaps the plan is to only have EB and only one copy of the Desert BL?
And even if this isn’t the plan, maybe it’s something to consider (depending on how “fair” the three keep layouts are).
Yeah… That wont work unless the new maps support about 1000 people. Which would be fun, it’ll play at about 5 fps and allow you to pop a skill every 5 minute, given the fact that GW2 just barely cope with 50 players at the same spot.

Really really really test this out with real bodies on the map, rather than virtualizations or projections.
Really really really hope they test various map caps for playability, with players from all over the world — including SEA/OCX which seems the hardest hit by big blobs.
