The drop rarity of Rare and Exotic weapons from certain places in the world (champions, veterans, and players in WvW) has been increased. Rares and Exotics should be much more likely to drop and every champion should be guaranteed to drop loot. This was to ensure that world loot drops were not a significantly worse way of acquiring rare and exotic items than crafting and running dungeons.

I’m excited for this.

They also lowered the damage rate for the Cloak and Dagger Thief skill in PvP only. I believe this includes WvW since that is where this skill is considered an exploit.

Hell ya. I was asking for better drop rates since the first beta weekend. It was so incredibly obvious to me that the comparison between WvW vs. PvE for loot was just a total failure…glad they are coming around.

The damage of cloak and dagger wasn’t the problem.

Few other pvp changes, including the nerfing of engineer grenades by 10-15%, throw speed increased by 10-15% to balance it out I guess.
Mes portals recast is 90sec up from 60sec.
Healing down to 5 targets.
You can no longer view opponents’ account names through reporting in WvW.
Scorpion wire up to 1200 range, expect to see more falling people.

Other than that not much to get excited about for wvw, was mainly a pve spvp update.

I don’t know if this is accurate or not, as I can’t find a statement on whether PVP changes affect WvW or just SPVP.

In-game skills use the PvE counter-part for WvW. Guardian’s utility, Save Yourselves, is 5s in SPvP and 10s in PvE/WvW. Can go try it out if you need proof

I could be wrong but I think PVP and WVW are classified differently. I don’t think the pvp changes affect wvw.. but i could be mistaken.

Just tested the dodge heal (selfless daring) on my guardian in WvW and it didn’t show any sign of the PvP only heal reduction.

People have gotten Dusk off of normal mobs in the Cursed Shore. The drop rate is just ridiculously low. Especially if you’re not wearing MF armour, but who would do that in WvW?

I’ve done it, got 4 rares in one night. Not nearly as good as farming plinx though. Maybe better now?

Anyways, still need confirmation that PvP is or is not WvW.
