This afternoon on Gandara BL, we had a 20 v 20 [no GvG] fight north of their tower, west of their Citadel.Gandara kept coming at us in open field. Battles on the mounds around the sentry and in the road.

It was the most fun battles I have had in a long time.Just to see two groups moving around and clashing without siege.The chaos of the battle as it splits into smaller areas of conflict on all sides.And for it to last so long,rather than a bat of the eye and it is all over.

We need more of this.Too often WvW is just wall combat.

Removal of the score board. They can keep it on back end for rank purposes, but there is no need for us to see it.

Then people won’t defend! 80% of people dont defend a non t3 tower. Ppl will adjust, then defend because that is where the fights are. Playing PPT, coverage wars is boring to most of us.

Instead of “server 1 is 150k points ahead, why bother with wvw?” It is"let’s fight and see if we can kill people"

Just need for Anet to add some WvW skirmish maps to the equation. Essentially, GvG or at least team vs team where players join into larger scale PvP matchups. Some maps could include fortifications while others are just open battlefields. I would prefer these be separate from the WvW matchups though since I really like storming and defending the fortifications. Plus this opens it up for a variety of existing and even new maps to be used for the skirmishes. i.e. they could use even the towns for capture the flag skirmishes. Imagine battles inside Divinity, for instance with the goal for 1 large team to defend the flag in the center of the city from the other smaller teams taking it back to their district. Say 50 players on the defense team with 3 teams of 20 players all trying to get the flag back to their own district. The smaller teams would both have to work together but also against each other to be successful. It would be some chaotic fun in my opinion.

Actually that is the great thing about wvw catering for different play-styles depending on how you want to play, the only thing that’s wrong is how it’s balanced towards zergs and that you can’t really control the number of players in each group, that it often ends up an uneven fight but it’s also good thing not knowing what your up against rather than the GvG meta.
