Guild Wars 2

Mission: Capture and Defend enemy supply camp for as long as we can. Training exercise for members and lower levels.

Objective:
1. Capture supply camp.
2. Defend camp by all means.
3. Attract enemy forces, and hold numbers to provide distraction for all other maps.
4. To level up lower levels and show them how much fun defending can be.

Syndicate Operation Training Exercise:

About 1300 pst, my force of 20 members, mixed lvls majority lower levels captured Bluevale supply camp located in Ehmery Bay Borderlands. Resistent was minor.

About 1315, Resistent became apparent as more forces showed up, as we have already developed enough siege equipement to defend the entrance way against a similar size force.

About 1345 it becomes apparent we caught the enemies attention. We now face an even larger force trying to break into the camp.

About 1415, Enemy tenacity increases, we are being bombarded by siege gear from the walls of dreadfall bay, and seige gear built right outside the front entrance. Enemies have also been trying to swarm in from the right side hill. We are still holding them back.

About 1430, we destroyed all seige gear with counter siege equipment built under the supply depo, that was located outside the gate. Holding back the enemy zerg with everything we got.

About 1500, all our siege gear destroyed, we are still fighting, we realize that the battle is lost but we died with honor. An extreme amount of enemy forces zerged inside and over the hill. We estimate the forces to be 50 + players, versus our 20.

This was an amazing fight, our guild enjoyed it. We were getting karma and experience every 13 seconds just for defending the place. Only drawback was that even though you guys outnumbered us, and you had your orbs, some of you resorted to exploiting the terrain on the right side of the supply camp. Going up the hill is difficult and once there, sometimes players can become invulnerable.

Syndicate of Shadows will continue running operations like this, and we will continue our focus on Ehmery Bay, you guys are the stronger server. Borlis Pass, let it be known to your entire server, SoS will not intentionally attack you guys, we are attacking green only so please do not get in our way, we will defend ourselves. Otherwise we will take green in your area and then leave, so you can easily retake and set up your own defences.

I was there and it was a hell of a fight. 2 hours of mind blowing. Our commanders did manage to capture lot of points through all maps and we are proud of it. For the first time opponents did actually used trebs and catapults just to capture a camp. Funny? GLORIOUS!

Awesome story, as I was reading it, I was picturing the battles and catapult cows going back and forth! Thanks for posting. This is what makes WvW fun, not the score or the orbs (unless a battle like this for the orb). Hail from Yak’s Bend.
