Orange Swords and Roaming
Anyone have some feedback?
Roaming seems to be dead, but you could always guard yaks.
I roam alot solo or in a small group (3 max) and the removal of the swords is a problem for me. There’s no way to know if those attacking a supply camp are less than 5 and therefore killable or a group of 20 and therefore best be avoided.
I do not understand this change at all, who actually benefits from it? large groups that don’t want to pvp?

The idea is that the swords don’t pop up when you’re running around ganking other groups. Previously when you engaged, the zerg quickly flys in because of the tiny maps and orange swords.
I hate to use the term zerg because I have yet to see a proper definition for it outside of Starcraft.
In any case, I believe ANets hope was that very large groups of 40-50+ will break up into groups of less than twenty and target different objectives since they would not be flagged with swords. This would divide the very large “zergs” into different areas of the map.
Whether this happens or not is another question that will only be answered in time.
