Orb buff needs addressing
This has been mentioned many many times here, and to my knowledge no developer has ever commented on it.
In my opinion it is an absolute joke…and I believe they aren’t commenting because there really is no rational explanation for why it is the way it is. I expect one day it will be changed in a patch with no mention ever, and they hope we will all just forget their complete and total lack of judgment.
I mean really….give a 15% stat bonus to the team that is dominating…ya that makes sense. It makes about as much sense as giving a team that is outnumbered a bonus to item drops….oh wait…
The majority of the player base finds the orb mechanic asinine. The orb makes fighting outmanned implausible and belittles any accomplishment you do as the winning side. Just keep thumbings up posts that ask to remove the stat bonuses and keep posting on here and reddit, especially if there is an AMA session.
Ehmry Bay – The Shadowmoon
Today I stepped in WvW for the 1st time, I am on the dominated server and I saw that I had this “Outmanned” buff. At first I was happy: “Oh, cool! I get a stats boost!”, but then I accidentally move the pointer over it and I glimpsed at the word “Magic”. Then I took a closer look.. my poor sound card now has a broken jack from the impact between the tower and the wall behind it.
Please fire the guy who thought this was a bright idea!
Sometimes it’s necessary listening to the silence, it could tell more..
It is indeed laughable. I wonder who the brainiac was who thought giving the winning team an extra leg-up over the underdog was a good idea.

Swap outmanned with Orb. I listed this in a post couple of days back.
1 Orb = 15% magic, karma, exp boost
Outmanned 3:2 = 1 orb bonus, 2:1 = 2 orb bonus, 5:2 or more is 3 orb bonus.

Just give orbs diminishing returns, there’s still some PvP-based incentive to hold all the areas without the major boosts granted by having three.

It is actually 15% more health and 150 to all stats, but I do have to agree this issue has been brought up tons of times and there has been no comment or any acknowledgement as to if they will even think of changing this or why it is. I think Anet just didnt plan out this game before starting to create it and should not have released it. So many issues with the game as a whole. They definitely should not have WvW on release with free transfers and with all the exploits and issues.
They are also far too susceptible to hackers, etc.
