If you are unlucky enough to be on a lower population server such as me then your server won’t be able to maintain those precious orbs for any amount of time compared to the other servers.

This was not an issue in previous 1 day matches as it would quickly reset and lo behold you get restarted game with new teams.

Now it is not the same. People are on low moral, they go into wvw against superior numbers and with superior stats, more hp and more damage.

This is a backwords way of getting people to bother going into the wvw.
This is obviously due to the late night zerg at the start of the match but now that server has managed to mostly keep all the orbs.
Meaning the rest of us can’t really do much about it due to the lack of people bothering.

If orbs managed to impact the wvw map in another way instead of directly changing a players stats and their ability to fight, things might be different.
Instead atm it looks like wvw is going to be mostly unplayable for me this week apart from attacking supply camps with my small guild.

Take the weather machine on the side with the orb, it has a chance to break the altar which forces the team with the orb to try and move it to a new keep.

The Orbs do give quite an advantage.

However, nerfing the orbs would reduce the importance of the Borderland maps. That would be a shame, as I find them way more fun than EB.

If the Orbs are nerfed, then something else should be added to maintain the strategic importance of the Borderlands (besides the points).

Yes I agree, something should be changed.

After all altering such stats just unbalances the basic PVP.
Something to do with the defenses/offensive capability of capture points.
Or a very large increase in siege effectiveness.

Anything else that will in effect cover that ground and make them usefull.
Right now who ever owns more than one is going to dominate without much opposition. Those who manage to get 3 will be sitting camping mostly occupied maps for the entire week and I already see another complaint thread saying how boring that is.
It’s boring for the winners and the losers, if a side can take all three orbs and keep them in all likelyhood they were set to win anyway however the orbs atm destroy the fight all together.

Currently the way I see it, the winning teams are buffed and the losing teams don’t gain any advantage to pull back from losing. The Outmanned buff doesn’t necessarily help either.

A lot of battles within this week period currently have one team that holds all 3 orbs and are just completely dominating the two other opposing teams.

Yes. That’s why the Orbs should be changed.

They could also add on a multiplyier to the amount of points a team gets.
i.e 1.2x more points per orb etc.

Maybe make orb bonus an area effect around the keep its in only, so it still rewards the team that gets it but doesn’t unbalance all of WvWvW.

Then it would just work in borderlands which aint so good.
Something needs to be changed about them as atm they are too strong.

All they need to do is switch the Orb Buff with the Outmanned Buff.

And wala, there you go. Plenty of incentive to get orbs and outmanned servers get a nice damage/survive buff.
