Any chances of having the outmanned buff contribute to the team that’s down (and on Kaening, usually significantly fewer players) on players in some meaningful way?

Increased stats and/or supply capacity for players, or slightly improved doors/walls/siege held by the smaller server?

The server gets outmanned on Eternal Battlegrounds where the majority of the active WvW players go, with Borderlands being empty.

We can fight, but a small increase in magic find, karma and influence don’t do too much against 30-40 players vs zergblobs of 200+ who also have 2-3x orb bonuses.

Totally agree with this. First time I saw the outmanned buff I was like WTF?!?!?! How is magic find and increase experience suppose to help against a massive zerg camping the main spawn. It doesn’t help AT ALL. The outmanned buff needs to be added damage or damage reduction buff or something of the sort. At the current state the outmanned buff is useless and basically means, get out while u still have armor on.

There’s another issue with it; if you die you don’t respawn with the buff and have to leave the battleground and re-join it in order to have it active again.

+1 for you.

Outmanned should at least give the person with the buff the equivilant of having 3 orb bonuses – owned orbs.

So a server with 3 orbs gets no added benifit from outmanned, but a server with 0 is put on equal or better combat footing.

People usually bemoan when a game’s pvp gives a buff to a losing team that’s outmanned/outgunned. GW2 is the first MMO I’ve seen where the team that’s zerging gets a pretty significant boost (orbs) and the team that’s being zerged gets nothing.

Yeah they need to fix this and buff the buff… right now it doesnt make any difference if your team is being camped at the spawn… at the very least it should help break out of the spawn area.

I agree, there needs to be something that doesn’t necessarily grant those who are outmanned the ability to instantly retake the orbs back, but give them a chance to somewhat counter a team that has all 3 orbs. Since 10-15 players with the orb buffs can easily take out a team of 15-25.

I understand that the Orbs need to have some sort of significance to them but wandering WwW with a Karma and Experience boost doesn’t necessarily help the team that’s trying to reclaim their structures back.

The only solution is a population cap – a stat boost will not help against a CC fest.

Switch the outmanned buff and the orb buff… Boom, there is still an incentive to take the orbs but getting all three doesn’t lead to your server automatically winning as a foregone conclusion.
