I seriously don’t understand the logic behind Outnumbered buff. How is getting EXP & magic find buff in a war zone going to help balance the current situation? I personally rather get 1% toughness than 3000000% ExP + Magic find in WvW when we are outnumbered.

I find it insulating and in a way it is telling us “ops we are outnumbered! lets go kill some pixels and get some lotz”

I think the following need to be changed:

1- Don’t encourage PvE in WvW by given the outnumbered side a full PvE buff.
2- Replace the current buff with a small Toughness + Health buff. Does not have to be anything game breaking, 5%-10% is enough.

Because areenanet wants casuals to play wvw

I don’t think they WANT casuals to play W3, I think thats what they thought would happen. More than likely they figured sPVP would be hopping and W3 would be limited to a few casuals and PvEers just looking for some quick PvP. What happened of course is W3 is massively popular and sPvP is cookie cutter fotm groups from WoW arena kittening and thats it.

That is exactly what I expect from sPvP as well. It only really took one beta to realize if you brought x group you would be fine. I havent played a single match since week one and my class is part of that x group.

The mmo world craves open world pvp so bad, and nobody wants to give it out. Not even arenanet, and when they try. Their massive 4 map alterac valleys fail because of how carebeared up they did it.

You do realise that all the events that happen in WvW (stop caravan, capture tower, defend keep, capture orb) all give PvE rewards..?

You also do realise that killing enemy players gives you PvE loot?

They will never make the outmanned buff give any kind of strength buff, it’s to motivate, not to assist.

WvW is like a PVE PVP hybrid zone. Obviously if you’re outmanned, you’re not going to attack the enemy head on. They want you to use your outmanned bonus as incentive to go take out supply caravans and to retake camps. This will spread out the enemy making it easy for another group to make a push on a tower or keep.

WvW reminds me a lot like how Aion is were its PvPvE.

How does outmanned motivate people? What so they tell their guildies, oh come in the game we have a buff of extra xp and magic find. Then when they do join it goes away because the server is full up then they leave to do some pve.
