1st off, Never run full zerker in WvW. You will almost always be outplayed by everyone you meet in your tier. (Your sig tells me you’re on FC) For roamers tbh an extremely overlooked spec of gear is valk, I would run that if you’re looking for damage & survivability, while not sacrificing too much damage.
Over all though for your main Im biased to a Full Clerics healing guard for roaming but of the options you present I would say ranger fits your over all play style form what you’ve described better.
I feel completely comfortable in WvW going full zerk on ranger, and on my thief id run a zerk/soldier mix as described in the “building a better d/d thief thread”. But on the subject if healing guard, i have a full apothecary healing bombs with TK and EG as well engi that 1v1 is literally unkillable, and ive actually won a few 1v4 with, but he takes a LONG time to take camps, while my ranger can just barrage and use piercing arrows and in 20 sec the camp is yours. But I’ve also seen thieves win 1v5s while being mostly zerk, and that really appeals to me.
