When paid transfers come it will no longer be which server has the most skill but who can retain the most population and coverage as there will no longer be the means to replace lost players and guilds, when things go sour, then many will be crying for Anet to merge servers etc.

They won’t merge the servers unless there is mass quiting as the pve sections might be too big, the whole point of three factions and server rankings is to balance the WvW fights.

If the ranking system is left to get on with its job (matching equal WvW strengh servers) and paid transfers are in place then after 2-3 weeks blow out weeks will effectivly stop and every server will be able to go into WvW and have a chance at fighting.

The Hills battle was good fun. You got pretty unlucky on the first battle in the lord room since for some reason, the waypoint was uncontested, so after you wiped us inside, we could just respawn at the entrance of the room…

Not that it delayed you for too long mind. couldn’t do much to stop you on the second go.

Hehe first time it was just Dius and Smug and we we focused you siege then when we wiped we just called in EVERYBODY I was popping golems about like it wasn’t anyones business! :P

In the end we actually had so many people we just DPS’d the last 10% of your reinforced gate xD It’s a shame our cameraman Darko didn’t include those two fights in his video, both were awesome and you guys were awesome!

This clearly illustrates how crappy wvw has become. GJ on zerging to a serv.
When every single guild joins the higher tiers people will stop playing on lower servs.

You can count on me to join whatever is the best server PS is facing when they move up.

Anyway this is one of the things that will kill this game and tbh considering how mediocre gw2 is it does deserve to be put down and reworked

Nice, have gone from being able to get into borderlands with my small guild group whenever we want to a big juicy queue. 1hr 20 minutes in a Queue and counting!! So which bandwagon (zergy) guilds xferred here then?

Noone needs to have invited them, if they want to come, they’ll come and unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to stop them.
It would be nice however if they listened to people from our server when we say we’re effectively full and there is no room for them.
Or if they don’t want to listen to us, listen to the people from other servers who’ve made countless recruitment posts practically begging people to move to their server where they’ll become valued among their WvW community.

Good fights on EBG tonight, our run time ended at 9:40pm GMT, started a couple hours previously about, special regards and hat tips to PX of Pikey Square and BF of Augury

The fighting started sour for our guild, spread all over the place waiting for queues, then RG showed up and stormed us in the flank at Astral,( plz plz for the love of god tell guild names Gandara! We would have been hiding at Spawn within seconds if you had said RG instead of inc Zerg!)

Due to still not being able to get our guys in, we swapped to EBG, and after about 5 mins or so in the queue we got most of us in. After a few minutes saw how many PX, Piken and Auguries were there and decided to get the Randoms organised again!
After maybe 10 mins got people working together properly, enough to make an attack for Durios…

Best battle so far in the week in my opinion! Battering AR off from every conceivable direction, leading concentrated charges and calling defense skills whenever [BF] turned up; laying an ambush for PX in the form of an open wall and about 20 Randoms running inside, them steaming into their flank! Was hard fought, but we pulled it off after a lot of frantic shouting and fast typing, and we bagged ourselves Durios despite further resistance.

Amazing, truely, and again much compliments to the Gandarans we fought beside, truely inspirational playing right there, it is very fun to fight enemies that are in he same league as us xD

Lastly to BF, Gratz to you guys for being the first to wipe us! You guys have toooo mannnyy dam arrow carts! In our defense we kind of stumbled onto the whole in the wall and decided to clamber on up, only to die horribly, despite how close it actually was I think the only ones that have taken us on alone in this set up and won are [siN], though I have absolutely no doubt RG can do the same easily.

Thanks for the battles again, it was most fun out of all my time against both Servers I think xD and one of my Guildies frapsed it, so that’ll be nice to watch it really is the simple things like capping one Tower, that bring you such enjoyment the evening was looking bleak for [WvW] until we came to EBG, appreciation to you guys for spicing it up!

well we had a decent run toinght in AR borderlands. decent start in flipping bay over. Thanks to everyone for backing me up early on (I say me AFTL had like 5 people total in it barely counts :P )

Nah not the whole zone, more like about 70% of it, maybe less, working together as best we can and helping each other in any way possible Just in case you are, don’t qq about numbers, we had the same amount of guys as you, we just chose to have them together to accomplish things, rather than spread around in groups of 15 or so; we are less veteran, less specialised and wealthy troops, not to mention less organised, so we have a higher than average level of organisation, though not anything completely amazing, among many people (random pug people, mind) and thus increase effectiveness overall.

If we were all wearing the same Guild tag you would say we were good, however as that is no the case, we must be a ‘zerg’ and thus the only reason we win anything must be solely because we have greater numbers. <— this is not the way to see it, I am proud of our accomplishments, and don’t think the numbers are a dominant factor in who wins and who loses, I am proud that Gandara can come together like this, just the Random people you met 5 minutes ago and as far as you know just came for their last poi in the Augury’s keep, can pull together to achieve things, and put up a fight and have fun, despite the clear fact that we will never win this week, and second is looking bleaker by the minute.

Agonising and overbearing rant over, sorry if you didn’t mean any of the above, in either case this applies to anyone thinking that way; we do not mindlessly Zerg around with the whole zone.

As I said, just in case, from the forum warriors I’ve seen in the first thread I’m kind of on edge, trying not to label you all but sarcastic comments are another thing that would come across as something that might occur, also I wanted to reiterate my point, seeing as you highlighted our play style as ‘the zone’, it is easy to assume you are either dismissing us or do not understand correctly.

I take zerging as an insult is all, your comment wasn’t exactly friendly and positive was it?

At any rate, my nervous breakdown + rant at seeing a sentence and loosely associating it to something I would find insulting due to an overwhelming sense of paranoia and borderline insanity, still stands as a point to players who have this opinion.

Maybe should rename Piken Square as Golem Square, since thats all i see from all these top guilds. Well good game, shame you need 7+ golems to take keeps, not much of a fight really, a big let down unlike last night siege after siege, treb after treb, but at least a fight, infact was really fun, but hey least i get to go to bed early tonight

Want to thank AR for some epic moments today in Ogrewatch, must have been over 5hrs long, yep you won, ofc piken had to keep sticking their nose in, but good game.

Yep shouldnt post when im mad and tired, but thank you for finishing off tonight as lack lustre as WvW can get on a day which had some really epic moments.

God is it still only Monday? Wheeeee 4 more days of fun WvWvW action!

We are running approx 40-50 people generally when things get going, coordinating skills and communicating quickly, general tips and skills to be used, things to benefit allies, where incomings are, sentries ready for incomings, etc. etc. 45 doing all of these things are just as good as 25 doing all of these things, being spec’d for it via armour and gear, running nourishments and other consumables, chaining buffs at all times and generally having everything planned out beforehand; all I mean is that I’m pretty puffed we can compete with this with what is really only a PUG group, not even the same guys every time, we just go in and shout at the Randoms that happen to be there at the time, and we can achieve the same average level of cohesion and actual organised defense most of the time, it sure makes a change to getting steamrolled every 5 seconds alone by a Guild.

I’m sure you guys sometimes get the feeling ‘omg not again, they’ve rolled over me with 70 players, such zergers’, if not I applaud your above average integrity and stoicness – I know most of Gandara gets the feeling ‘here we go walking along the road with the commander, what’s that particle effe- kitten I’m dead and now they render, another Guild running around like they’re superglued together, oh well back to spawn, repair bill getting costly after the umpteenth time this match up…’
That was the general feeling I got from Gandara from Reset till a couple days after – as. a generally PUG driven server, the last thing we need is mass demoralisation, massacres and wide scale non-Redness on all maps to discourage them. I might come across as too happy and proud with everything but it’s just the first time I’ve had a lot of fun in a few weeks is all

I think for lots of guilds running decent numbers, if they get rolled by 70 they respawn and ask where that 70 have got to.

A /wave to the Ranger I just dueled for about 5mins in augury bl outide briar. Great fight.

And a /bow to the TUP thief who was a great dueler…. and also an unlikely ally as we capped Augury’s arah’s hope together! I think we both wanted some defenders to show up so could have seen the reaction when they saw us waiting

That bay fight in AR zone vs gandara was fairly sick. 23 or so RG and 10 or so TUP. Tup died and we held till they ran back good 3-4 mins. Good effort by gandara. Might of been one of our best keep takes or up there at least.

It’s quite disappointing to see what has become of this, in the first few match-ups games were pretty exciting and all servers went on pretty equal. I found it really enjoyable.

Now all of a sudden the more organized guilds decide to join last week’s winning server… and this happens. It’s not enjoyable to play like this anymore.

Can’t wait for this match-up to end and get equal opponents again.

Being grieffed is never nice and it’s about time ANet learned that, it puts players off from playing and gives the game a bad name.

Serious note though people dont see golem rushes as skilled but when you use a golem ruch in the middle of a very busy prime time battlefield to be effective its not brainless . If you pop a bunch of golems into a battlefield thats full of enemy players at the wrong time on the wrong gate you are deeeeeeeead as a dead thing.

I’d go into tactics in more details as to this but Id probably et abuse for it from my guys and girls for it

I remember when we built a 17+ golems for SM (month ago), but during the attack we got a bug of EB location (all guys was disconnected) and all the golems was lost). Then we built more golems and took SM anyway )

Might of been more productive if they had of gone the other side of the map

From my experience i doubt the bandwagoners would be welcome anywhere. They’re usually bad and the second things dont go their way they start moaning, nerd raging and disappear.
Its nearly a good thing that they migrate around servers imo, saves any one server having to deal with them for any length of time. I pity the poor saps who get stuck with them when free transfers close.

We (PX) had some pretty awesome fights with you guys last night. We were only running 15ish players so were just roaming, but like I said, it was a lot of fun. Hope for the same tonight!

Well, clearly you’ve got some new players compared to the last match
Btw, I don’t know if those guilds were on piken from the start, but I began to see [Nug] [NoX] [SFRJ] [VAR] [DZ] (not sure about [DZ] tbh, there are other guilds with a similar tag that I may have confused,) and some Green Fire too, only recently.

Never heard of [Nug], [NOX] well not seen them anyways, [VAR] jooined a few weeks ago and [SFRJ] the past week or so, [DZ] is likely [DT] who have been here since release I think.

But there is not doubt PS has been bangwagoned and gained a off peak that it never had before, we have been kind of holding our breath for a months or so expecting it to be our turn next, 45 mins ques on every map, every night now and 2 hours to get your full raids in if you dc it’s game over.

Can we complain? not really, we had 4 months of awesome fun running riot on our nice quiet server with strong inter guild relationships and great team work, no drama well until this match up and no ques for WvW even with a 30 man raid swapping maps at times in prime time. The server is very attractive to alot of ppl and there nothing anyone can do about it or should try and do about it.

I am sure it will settle back down in a few weeks, and things will get back to more normal again. <3

PS Kudos to the RP-ers in Divinitys Reach sat next to them watching them RP for 30 mins, man they take it seriously missed the full name I am sure it was tagged [CC]

Just a friendly note to everyone out there.. If you see someone hacking or exploiting to get into keeps or towers, report them. Ignoring the people who do these kinds of things is just as bad as doing them yourself.

[BF] wanted to thank you all for the great night and all the good fights. Especially PX for the good teamplay. You were out numbered and won a lot of battles.

We had a lot of fun in Durios. We often take a tower and let a wall open with lot of siege weapons inside for happy fighting, waiting Gandalf to save us all with epic music^^ .
I think we had a good part of pick-up following us but we hope the battle for “saving Castle Rabbit” was fun for all.

We had some good fights in the Ogres camp too. The night ended with a happy golem on Ogrewatch. We took the tower and raid off.

We’ve had campfires inside garrison, roasting marshmellows, inside a hole in the wall at garrison. Gandara were invited last week, but they wouldn’t come through the hole in the wall We even had fireworks!

As to the fishing trip with the french, was Fort Ranik rather than AR but close enough.

ahion, i think you will find that ogrewatch was a lot weaker version than the one AR battled for and won in an epic siege that lasted over many hours and many trebs and lots of armour repair bills. The gate that golem took down a little wolf could have huffed and puffed his way in. AR also faced us at primetime, so much fun and when it was finally lost, we couldnt keep the presence up with piken taking towers behind, i felt was a great evenings entertainment. (some great treb placements btw.. so far to fight to get them down)

My respect for you has gone up a 110% this week even tho i still think you reproduce at an alarming rate :P Looking forward to meeting you again on better terms.
