Actually i would love to see us in T2 at least for a few weeks.^^
edit: i was commander today in EB after all other commanders were gone and AR and RS were again “working toghter” to get our keep down. I was a bit scared to take that kitten under my command, but it worked out well. I dont know how long i just ran from one spot to another. killing AR zergs and RS zergs, but what i know is that i had trouble…my bags were to small.
I really enjoyed that.
Some from piken my QQ a bit about double teaming but i love that. Its a challenge and also way more fun. Running from one fight to the next.
At some point we were pushing out, trying to get mendons. AR was outmanned and suddenly they were a blob. With a guild group, NR. The first round you guys won, because it was right at your spawn and we were not ready for such a fight.
But the second round on Wildcreek we won. Sadly you guys decided after that to switch maps again or go offline. Dunno.
I could go on with talking about that., but i want some sleep so i cut it here.

The Piken whined/asked for help from the T1 guild OSC, so OSC joined PS to help them getting in T2.
Are the rumours true?
Just asking, because I heard people talking about it.
We never asked them to come to Piken, they just showed up unannounced. So far we’ve only seen them and despite trying to get them in contact with our community they seem to just want to ignore us. We already had major queue issues and with them showing up it’s only seemed to have made things worse, if they’d have asked anyone on Piken we’d have told them not to come we already have too many people as it is. As a community all we wish for is good decent fights, we don’t care about the tier we fight in, we don’t wish to be “no.1” server, all we want is a nice friendly community who can have fun together.

I would like to announce my disagreement. Id’ rather say we need to get rid of nightblobcappers positioning us in a bracket where we dont have the manpower to compete in primetime.
But yes, awesome PvP and tactics under Serinyas(?!) and Wutgarts leadership on our homelands from 9PM to 12AM. This was very enjoyable, even for ppl that prefer to roam like me, as you offered jobs for those at any time! Keep the good work up VU and Zornig!

guys, we’re on piken just to have fun and relax a bit. T1 is quite stressful, many of our players (myself included) were tired about it, so we decided to come to piken, and not to get it in T1 or something like that. besides, this is a game, we’re free to transfer anywhere we please, i know you feel piken as your home, but we’re playing at your side, so at least you could try to understand our reasons like we uderstand yours. we’re trying to get in touch with your community and sign on your schedule, but we’re still waiting for approval on your alliance website. i’m not talking for my guildies, i respect your gameplay and your needs, no one likes queues or stuff like that, but you can’t prevent us from playing. the best way to deal with this situation is to get an arrangement and try to cooperate. personally, i do not see why so much hostility, and it hurts me to read certain messages on chat map, even ‘cause we’re here at least to help you in your fights. if sometimes we seemed arrogant it’s because some of yours started a fight with us, we’re not here to start a catfight with anyone. again, i’m not talking for my guild, it’s just a personal thought. if you think i’m wrong, please contact me ingame, i’m not used to air my dirty laundry in public, you have my username

Im pretty sure that the vast majority of Piken dont want to go up a tier back into T2 again… we got utterly destroyed up there the last time we were there :/
However, id LOVE to see RS go up a tier and watch just how fast they get their kitten handed to them… Basically T2 both enemy realms each have double the population of Piken and double the amount of WvW guilds to Piken :P

Ive never heard of this… to my knowledge Piken has NEVER asked for help from other servers. Ive seen OSC around but they havent said anything to us, like Vayle has said above, it looks like they just wanna keep themselves to themselves.
The AR blob was moving between maps last night. I was with FG moving between Piken and AR borderlands chasing the AR blob. Funny cos generally they outnumbered us 3 to 1 yet once we wiped them they would change map looking for easy targets…
Looks like AR tactic is to have 1 monsterblob over all maps right now…

We reported an AR Charr for hacking last week… i didnt catch his guild tho.
When we held Overlook off AR last week me and the Commander were up at the Vista inside Overlook, the Charr zoomhacked portalled onto us to kill the treb we had built there. We had held it for 10 hours so theres no way he got in through normal gameplay. We also could do no damage to him although we did somehow manage to down him, but couldnt kill him… all we got was the message OBSTRUCTED.
It was a 100% hack and we all reported him with screenies etc.
sounds like our guy. can`t slow him, can`t damage him, is way faster than any of us and moves like he has lags (but in a very very fast way) so you cannot follow him at all…

We got destroyed in T2???? Yes we got wiped more than in this tier, but I really wouldn’t call it destroyed lol. Yes, it was a lot more challenging and intense compared to now, but atleast we didn’t win 80-90% of the fights and score-wise we’ll do worse than now since our coverage is crap (keepin it real). In T2 we got to fight a lot more guilds, whereas now we fight mostly pug groups who don’t seem to be in the mood for much battle unless they outman :P
And from what I gather, lately the majority wouldn’t mind going back to T2 every once in a while, since the fights there, as mentioned above, were more intense.
And since we’re fighting RS and AR so much now, they become very predictable. Some change wouldn’t be so bad.

In our last week in T2 Piken scored around 30k all week and SFR scored over 350k… that isnt being destroyed? lol
Sure, there were various circumstances surrounding this but it doesnt change the fact we got owned badly in T2. I agree we stand a much better chance now we are stronger but most Piken i know would prefer to play T3 where the fights r more fun than the pro zerging of T1 and T2.
Probably only you Most of points SFR earned via PVD from morning hours till raids from Russia. We lost our night shift and 1/2 prime time guilds. Jade and PIken stopped playing . Imho it was very nice week full of fun and fighst against our friends from old Piken guilds.

The 1st 2 weeks in T2 were actually very close matchups, we were matching and competing against them. The 3rd week when we lost 3 of our larger guilds to SFR meant yes we lost against them overall badly, because they were on a mission to destroy us for not following their dream of getting to T1. 1st time ever Piken scored lower than 100k in a matchup, JS only came 2nd due to them having much better coverage than us. But through that whole matchup we were winning every primetime, due to our guilds. Piken has never lost the primetime fights where the majority of the major guilds play. I’m a proud Piken player, and i wont disagree we were struggling in T2 when we got there. But we have done so in every single tier we have fought in all the way from T8. It’s Pikens way, we fight and work out how to play the teams we face then we move onwards. That matchup was bad for us due to the fact the only time we had ever seen the blobs of that size was when facing ER over 2months before, it takes a while to adjust. This matchup is not as fun as last time we faced RS back in Jan because they seem to blob more(this isn’t having a go at RS even Piken can be accused of this a bit now even though in our hearts we don’t want to blob), AR has always done it to my recollection. Until people/guilds realise it’s more fun to fight smaller scale then 60+ people we’ll have to continue as we are and try to get the fun where we can RS included(coz i know quite a few don’t enjoy this zerg mentality either).
Good fights are always fun win or lose, so break away from the zerg people and free yourselves to have fun(all servers in every tier!).

I too seem to remember us holding our own in T2. It was only when a few guilds switched servers that we dropped out of the bracket. I don’t like long queues, that’s my single biggest gripe… the guilds leaving solved that problem and for a few weeks we enjoyed little to no queues.
The last few nights though, the queues have returned (up to an hour or so) and that’s probably the source of the vitriol towards the newly transferred guilds. I’d welcome anyone to join the server if it didn’t diminish my game experience… but unfortunately it does, it’s not much fun having to queue.
Constructively, I’d like to add that it’d be nice to see a queue size/length counter on the WvW menu, just so it’s easier to get in to a map, and to play with friends.
From what i have seen so far you could easily matchup T2, cause of your better coverage now and organized Guilds.
PT was never a problem for you and now you have some People who play at night.
On the other hand, do you really want to play there?
Every Tier above is much more work than fun i guess;-)

I’d say definetly. Its no fun for guilds that’s been on Piken since day 1 to be pushed out by new arrivals. The game is half the blame, kittenty queue system. But Piken has always had a very strong WvW population that hasnt been reflected by its medium pop status… Thus we where turned over a bench and buttsmacked by Anet by a free transfer week to those “poor” medium pop servers desperatly needing more people.
I fear we end up in a situation where alot of new guilds go “ZOMG OFF TO TIER 2!!!” while older guilds has been there, done that and dont want to do it again…
Cant be helped (players are free to choose servers as they please), but doesnt have to like it either.
I wouldnt mind going up to T2 either tbh, however my reason for doing so is to get rid of yet another set of Bandwagon players that joined over the past free weeks and in so doing get some better Primetime ques when we drop to T3 again in a week or two.
I agree with above posts that the current Guilds and players on Piken havent bin aiming for T1 or recruited Guilds like OSC. However that have NOT bin the case in the past as I know Guilds now on SFR have done so, tbh most who bin on Piken since start knows this. I havent seen anyone being hostile to OSC, certainly not in this thread.
We are simply saying they havent mixed with the Piken community yet so we dont know much about them. It sounds like many Piken dont like the flood of incoming guilds and players because its making our realm too busy. We can all understand that.
Well then maybe read St.Scarlets first post, seemed abit hostile to me but yes I dont like the recent surge of Guilds either and even more annoying is the new found love for WvW among the PvE players since March Update wich we all suffer from now, Iam guessing on most servers.

Hey, I’m from NR, and we were switching maps all the night to defend and push where we could. That was a good fight
By the way AR is not trying to form a zerg, most of the guilds hate that, and prefer to have their own group working with the others.
Is Piken back to square one on the T2 or 3 debate?

It didn’t work for the server as a whole, and several of those guilds left (not all to get to T2 or T1 mind you).
Piken had good fights on T2 for the larger guilds, or the smaller well organised guilds who were lucky in their opponents numbers…
For the randoms it wasn’t all that fun most of the time. Piken has a different mentality for the larger part, not completely a T2 or T1 mind set I think.
We have meetings for this stuff, and it’s not up to me to decide of course. But I did think we were past that point of discussion about T2 or not.
Bottom line is: some will always want this (like Ireth and we’re even in the same guild), while others think it’s fine in T3.
I like T3 more than I liked T2.

2 days ago it was like in a slapstick movie. I was standing on sm wall, cigarette break, and i seen a poor AR guy who was trying to escape from a RS guy who was chasing him.
AR guy was running arround a corner so i could not see him anymore, RS guy still after him.
2 seconds later RS guy was running back in sight arround that corner with 20-25 AR guys after him.

Personally i will miss the fights against well organized Guild from Piken.
On the other Hand T3 is way to stressful and more work than fun, especially when you are focused on points.
Hopefully we will see you all again and wish you nice fights against RG who actually transfered to Augury Rock i think and also the BB Hordes;-)
