If you die once your allies can resurrect you but you are put on a few minutes cool down if you go down again they will have to wait the cooldown to resurrect you again or you can respawn at a waypoint and run back.

Allows tactics like picking off people in bigger armies slowly decreasing their numbers instead of them getting back up continuously like zombie hordes =[

Probably a different topic for a different section but why do the devs like making so many build updates deciding and forcing a few viable builds on people and sometimes with a lot of traits that will be unused,

Should they not try make us feel more powerful and enjoy they game can’t the player base be allowed to figure out how to counter others.

You bring your super sword trait I bring my super shield trait for example instead of the wooden stick trait my few build that work is forced to take.

I like running into strong opponents even if they crush me makes it feel every character can be strong not just another same old generic two or three viable limited builds running around.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to pick your own traits and if it gets super out of control then the devs step in to adjust things instead of deciding what few builds we get pigeonholed with.

I like the game and play it however but would be so much more enjoyable!

I think getting stomped should force instant respawn.
Right now, players can rez in less time than it takes to stomp them

Or do what has already been suggested multiple times throughout the years right here on this very forum:

Players in combat can not rez allies.

Kills multiple birds with one stone:

1) Addresses the rezzing zombie hoard issue.

2) Players who would complain about being instantly sent back to respawn on death are appeased. They can still linger on the ground as a corpse – watching the battle – hoping they may still get rezzed within the next 5 minutes and avoid the long walk of shame back to their friends/party/squad/zerg.

3) Rewards players by making a stomp/kill more permanent.

4) Evens the odds between two numerically mismatched groups. If the outnumbered group manages to take down enough enemies, the chance exists they may get the upperhand and win.

5) Opens up new playstyles. “Combat medics” who steer clear of the main fight so as not to be put into combat so they can rez downed allies. Counter-tactics then evolve for the opposing side to identify and target the combat medics before they get a chance to rez the fallen. This will sync well with some of the new profession specializations coming out with Heart of Thorns.

6) It’s very simple to program. The function for rezzing already exists, the function for determining whether a player is in combat or not already exists. Now simply write a new function that tests if a player is in combat when they attempt to rez (which technically also already exists because you rez slower when in combat; so the game already knows this). If the answer is “yes, the player is in combat”, then block the call to the function that controls rezzing. Done.

Agreed, but we know it won’t happen (sending players back to spawn immediately on death). The outcry on the forums would register 9.0 on the Richter scale if they did.

So I suggested an option that still allows for the possibility of a rez, but makes it more difficult to do so by eliminating the mindless, skilless, numbers-beat-all method that currently exists.

Ressurects only happen if players don’t finish the downed, then run off merrily spamming 1 from their guardian train.

I love targeting players that are downed or dead and killing off players who are trying to ress the dead mid fight- 3 or 4 of them might get one person up but then they are all under 50% HP and those 3-4 players have been out of the fight. As a ranged player that’s part of my duties.

Ressing in combat is already slower than out of it.

Ressing is part of the battlefield smarts you need to think of whilst engaging the enemy- as well as making sure your own players get your own downed up where possible. I frequently see those moaning about ‘ress bots’ making no attempt to save the downed, even when they can, and then complaining that the ‘ress bot’ has allowed the enemy to get up from downed.

I can easily wipe out downed whilst playing my support ele, mesmer or ranger and I’ve noticed that when in large group fights the team that manages the downed situation better is usually the team that wins, even if the enemy started with superior numbers.

Do I think that ressing in combat is tad too easy and too fast? Yes I do think that. Do I think it should go away? Nope. Because it still create, maintain and prolong fights.

People in WvW are strange sometimes. On the one hand, everyone is yelling PPT noobs, real men fight. On the other hand, they often seem to want to take all the joy out of fighting and make easier to completely wipe groups because… reasons, I guess? When those 10 hardcore super mega souped up elite specced people roll over 50 noob zergers with ease due to half a dozen new rules on the battlefield that says you’re not allowed to zerg, how long do you think it will be before those 50 become 40… or 30… or 20… until said hardcore group start whining that they have no one to fight.

Sometimes ressing kitten us up. I know. Been there a thousand times. But looking back at these 3 years… Doesnt GW2 combat still work? Just saying. Because going by Anets finetuning of WvW, these suggestion will only lead to arrowcarts getting 50% more damage. Dont ask why. It just will.

I meant those who actually get up 3-5 times as Rallybots.

And that pretty much should get a coffin nail.

1 Rally with like 30 sec cooldown, as a chance to fight.

At least roamers would have it easier in matter of fighting a group or something.
