If A player world transfers it should log the server he transferred from and not let him wvw in the current matchup if he switched to another server in that matchup.

I have only witnessed one spy, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, but I see how people can abuse this system.

Free transfers is a good thing, however this would be an easy way to stop this, if they wanted to wvw, they’d have to join a server that is not playing vs the server they transferred from, or go back to the old server.

This would prevent the cheating and venting the opposing teams strategies. If he wanted to transfer to another server inside his current matchup, he’d just have to make his transfer during the last day or in the next matchup.

This would also prevent guilds from going to the losing server, and trying to recruit them into their server, depopulating the other server, and manning their siege and making it unusable..

I must’ve missed the sign that said it was a fire sale.

Free transfer to do bugged PvE stuff on other servers. This is needed. There are skill challenges bugged for more than 3 days and they can’t expect us to wait when others already have world completed. So I think free transfer should stay until everything is working fine or at least major stuff is fixed and the team got enough time to fix stuff like skill challenges within 24 hours.

WvW… I don’t know. I see the problem with server changes. But why not making the home server affect WvW only? Then we could restrict it and make it already cost money. But PvE could be free to choose where to play – I know there will be a guest system in the future. But why not make this completely free? Only problem I see is with farming at nodes of rare ore and trees and stuff and other things like this and changing the servers. Don’t know if it is possible to record this info in a different way that no one can do this and recorded per account or char if you gathered some node already.

Other than the suggestion of in the first post of this thread seems like the easiest way to fix some problem that come with the free server transfers.

I thought you couldn’t join W vs W for 24 hours on the new server you transfered too. And if I remember well I did see some kind of message like that when I transfered from Anvil Rock to Jade Sea just after launch.

actually, I never got why the pve and wvw servers were even linked. But regardless, I think wvw should be separate and a server change can always be initiated, but will only complete once the current match ends (for wvw, pve can be instant). no more problems with spying and people can still roam freely and graze or whatever anywhere they want =)

I thought you couldn’t join W vs W for 24 hours on the new server you transfered too.

I haven’t switched but I don’t think this is the case, even if so, 24 hours for a two week match isn’t enough to stop people that want to cheat apparently.
