"Playing at very steady numbers"
That line made me shudder. In t2, there are whole guilds that have disappeared, and others whose remnants have merged with other gutted guilds. On Mag there are rarely any commanders on any map, groups of 5-10 just roam around until getting pushed out by only slightly larger numbers from the other two servers. Numerous threads on the forums have mentioned this, so despite claims to be “listening,” it sure seems like ANet is doing everything possible to plug their ears, clench their eyes shut, and wax poetic about “steady numbers” that don’t even exist. It’s dumbfounding.
You know a steadily declining number series can be considered steady numbers.
OP seems to direly confuse the term “steady numbers” which means consistent numbers, with a term such as full or max numbers.

The exact quotation: “It’s something that people have been playing at very steady numbers for a very, very long time and still enjoying.” Sure doesn’t seem like the OP is “direly” confusing consistent numbers and full numbers. Rather, it seems like Devon is too busy staring at his charts and graphs to witness the reality of bleeding WvW numbers (which, like the OP, I agree ought not to include EotM).

That captures it. The “steady number” is the fraction of WvW players over the whole game’s players, given as a percentage.
RvR isn’t “endgame”, it’s the only game. Cu in CU.
I think the playerbase is declining.
Tier 1 over here in the EU is where most of the activity is and the funny thing is; we’ve got the most amount of players who play off-peak during night.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.

I think by steady they mean people still play.
From my perspective WvW populations are dwindling. I used to roam mid tiers (T4-T6) a year ago. Moved to T2 a month ago to get a similar experience and now it is drying up. I would guesstimate the average population of EB for all servers probably in T2 during NA prime last night hung around 100. That is tremendously low even from a month ago. I will probably move to T1 if the roaming continues to dry up.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
You can say whenever you want when you hold all the statistics and don’t release them.
Are they including EotM in those figures? Because while the last few weeks it seems TC during SEA is severely understrength, EotM is nearly always full. And it’s an Overflow too, not the main map. Who knows how many other packed overflows there are?

Yep, the numbers undoubtedly include EOTM.
