This week’s T3 NA matchup has been a total blowout, however FA is still ~100 glicko points behind 6th place. At the rate FA is able to obtain glicko points from the T3 opponents it will likely be another month before they can rank high enough for T2.
Last linking CD was adjusted 200-300 points to escape the same types of blowouts in T4, please adjust FA so they can properly be in T2 where they belong.

Also glico adjust JQ because of inflation glicos in tier 2

FA already is where they belong.

Right now, there are 4 t2 servers. One of you is going to get plopped into T3. So, we’ll get to see one of these requests every week.

Or just simply stop publishing glicko and keep it secret like population, etc.

With all the adjustments ratings are becoming meaningless.

On the other hand , maybe let players vote who they would like to play against next week and arrange matches manually.

I wouldn’t have an issue with that. Except I wouldn’t bother adjusting Glicko. I’d just make the matches next week be:

• YB/Mag/BG
• JQ/TC/FA
• DB/SBI/NSP
• CD/HOD/SOS

And the following week:

• Mag/BG/FA
• JQ/TC/YB
• DB/HOD/NSP
• SBI/CD/SOS

And next:

• TC/BG/JQ
• Mag/YB/FA
• DB/CD/SOS
• SBI/HOD/NSP

And then:

• YB/BG/JQ
• Mag/TC/DB
• FA/SBI/NSP
• SOS/HOD/CD

Finally to finish out the linking period:

• FA/Mag/TC
• BG/DB/JQ
• YB/SBI/NSP
• CD/HOD/SOS

There you go. Variety. Fairly good matchups. Prevent blowouts for many weeks.

There is a question of where does DB really belong. This is just off the top of my head, if DB is very different than I assumed then of course it can be adjusted in later weeks. Or if population shifts happen it can be adjusted.

YB would steamroll nsp 24/7 with numbers….. nsp atm is paired with 2 other servers.

Of course they would. Its not terrible to deal with a blowout for a week. The problem comes when the same server is steamrolling you for weeks.

And obviously you wouldn’t make the entire 2-month schedule in the beginning. For example if it turns out that YB is on par with BG then I wouldn’t put them back in T3 for that last week.

I did this in about 10 minutes. So I can already see that you have the same match CD/HOD/SOS for the last two weeks. You could do something like switch CD and SBI so its YB/CD/NSP.

Well, between the fact he used the numbers way off (FA is only 43 rating behind 6th place), and the ammount of salt he spilled on the other two threads about YB, it’s hard to tell if he is a angry idiot or a troll trying too hard.

I think FA belongs in T4 and Sos belongs in T3.

I actually do think that’s one of the solutions to matchmaking. The second week of matches after a linking could be by 1U1D. That way if a link was created that is bad for a matchup it can adjust more quickly than simple Glicko.

Plus you should be happy. I gave you all matches with higher servers since you’re complaining about facing lower servers.

Look at the responses, it was ok to do this for YB, but oh no not FA. lol

Looking at the standing right now, looks like TC doesn’t belong in t1, DB doesn’t belong in t2, FA doesn’t belong in t3. When can we expect special glicko adjustments for them? Maybe they should just do -150 glicko to DB to help them drop faster.

Hey let’s save everyone the trouble and just move TC to t2, YB to t1, DB to t3, FA to t2, CD back to t4, SoS to t3, then lock tiers till next links. Everything will be even and everyone will be happy don’tcha think?

there has to be some sort of reset to glicko when linkings are reset or just dump linking altogether…. My suggestion is #1 stays the same, #2 = #1 – 25, #3 = #2 – 25 etc…… servers will rise / fall way more quickly to where their new link belongs….

Me thinks JQ is playing hooky. Im on YB, and most the time they are just steam rolling us bad, so is DB. I know we are beating them score wise, I guess we do well during NA, but any other time, JQ is just beating us like a read headed step child. Talk about Blobs. I think they are throwing the match to stay in T2 so they can farm us. Its bad. Think over the weekend they took our keep 2 or three times. Its like we are back in T1 which I HATE.

Giving serious thought to either stop playing or transfer to a lower server, the times I play, JQ is just farming us so bad, the game is unplayable. Even if we move maps, here they come……..and back to spawn I go.

I miss T3. During the times I play, them guys have given us some of the greatest fights I have ever been in. Lost many a time. I got all the respect in the world for em. They know how to fight. U even the numbers up, and the t3 servers would stomp just about any t2 or t1 server out there.

It’s a somewhat exaggerated picture of SEA. YB has never had a strong presence in SEA in the entire life of the game. JQ and DB (especially DB) have historically been very strong in that time period and still are. Considering the population imbalance in SEA about all YB can do is try to defend as many upgraded assets as we can to make recovery faster when the SEA folks drift away.

Other than that, yes, we do seem to have strong coverage. I’m still mystified where it’s come from. We certainly didn’t have it a few weeks ago and, while a good few old faces have returned as the summer fades away, I can’t believe that accounts for all the extra numbers. There must be a lot more people on Ferguson’s Crossing than I thought…

FA belongs in T3. I don’t want the glicko to be adjusted personally. We’ve been getting steam rolled in T2 for several months because we don’t have the coverage to compete with the T2 servers that queue every map almost every night in NA. FA will generally queue 1-2 maps in NA prime assuming it isn’t reset.

Best thing is to leave the glicko alone. Let FA sit in T3 until we can dig ourselves out if we so choose.

Players on most worlds will actively avoid YB like the plague. No one wants you in their Tier, sorry. A lot of us are also irked at the Dev’s constantly locking us. Mag has far more numbers than us and still open. It’s pretty obvious the Dev manipulation of world populations and matches to get turn over. Simply getting sick of playing their game, literally. I play WvW as a competitive game mode, this isn’t one any longer.

FA is not blowing out T3. even though they have like double to triple the guilds of any of the T3/T4 links. They’re just afraid they will get pinned in if a T4 server with actual NA presence moves up like NSP will lock them into t3. Which would cause alot of their shiny new guilds they bought to jump ship. Then we’ll all be in the same boat with <5 guilds in wood league!

Good lord are you really talking about FA? We barely have commanders on at primetime. It’s been like a ghost town out there in the off hours. Where do these rumors come from? I think we’ve gotten a few new guilds but they may be from SOR. Honestly FA is probably better off in T3, just my personal opinion.

Nope. Different guilds.

WvW needs to be fun every week. I’ve never heard of a game where you need to take 1-3 week vacations because of bad matchmaking. Yet that has pretty much sums up GW2 since they changed over to the glicko system.

WvW was always run by the Glicko system. It’s the Dev’s manually meddling with Glicko and breaking up our communities the past 6 months that’s the issue.
