Am I the only one that has a problem with the disproportionate ability of the unemployed/‘out of school’ segments of the community to rack up points in wvw during the day?

I have a job, I have responsibilities,and I have a social life. I also play GW2 as do many of my friends. Why should we have to deal with all the garbage that goes on during and immediately after the work day?

Arenanet, please consider a 50-75% score penalty for 8-10 hours during the work day (to account for multiple timezones across a region). This would encourage youngsters to stay in school, the unemployed to seek gainful employment (just think of it, Gw2 could help bring us out of the recession!), and combat obesity by encouraging individuals to take up sports/other hobbies.

Remember, a healthier, educated, and employed player base is a happy player base. And it would fix most current wvw score issues to boot. So remember, vote to nerf day capping 2012!

Day capping is a rampant plague in world vs world.

In fact, capping in general is just terrible.

Please remove it.

I don’t want to lose any of my hard earned keeps and towers while I’m away from my computer, please disable WvWvW while I am not here.

I second removing WvWvW, it makes GW2 a terrible game. Day players and night players alike can’t get along, unsubbing.

Only make WvW work when I’m in it that would be a good solution.

I purpose I get a pause button. I will bind the hotkey to the start button on my Nintendo game controller that I use to play the game.

Please remove PvP element from WvW and make more grubs, so we can all spend days and nights by killing them.

The solution is easy, you can only queue for WvW for 7 hours between 4-11PM, Eastern Standard Time, since that is the US Government’s Time. That way I, like many others, can play when I get off work and then get to bed at a reasonable time. Sure there’s a few kinks, like the West Coast, but honestly it’s all about the greater good right?

I have to work until 10pm some nights so it’s really inconvenient after I spend all night online only to find all of the towers I worked hard to defend taken by players during the day. If anyone knows of any add-ons to pause 24/7 global combat, plz let me know.

Day Capping is ridiculous but falls short of Primetime Capping. I see so many people capping stuff during US primetime hours that it is really discouraging to play during that time. You cap something and a lot of times the enemy just takes it right back! What is the point! Obviously there needs to be something where when someone caps something, it’s theirs forever. This whole back-and-forth thing is just stupid. It’s also not fair to the night capping crew when they took everything during the night and then all of a sudden it’s daytime and now everything they had gets lost! It’s like no point for the night capping crew to even bother because the next day they lose everything again and it’s back to square one. Obviously something needs to be changed and I really think we need permanent invulnerability buffs for everyone so we can just dance and pick flowers and not be bothered by this.

I thought it was all about sarcasm. Guess I was wrong.

The problem isn’t day or night or mid late morning or whatever capping.

The problem is that in the current WvW format, the bulk of the points are awarded when it seems like the bulk of the player base isn’t playing.

The only way to solve the problem is for Anet to sell some kind of anphetamine based product, this would solve the sleeping / time difference for capping and it would make them money. Everybody wins.

Pretty sure the points are rewarded every 15 minutes. Everyone playing during that 15th minute should be banned. Its RUINing it for the rest of us 1-14 minute people.
