I have noticed that the guards keep running away and super healing even when you are stood in the center of the camp… it is very annoying.
As for guards respawning too fast… not had that problem… are you sure the guards were camp guards and not guards that escort the dollys?

…and are you sure that someone didn’t order an upgrade that finished right when you were killing the guards? Sometimes it helps to kill the QM right away.
The loss of aggro and insta-reset happens all the time. Sometimes I can stand right in front of the supervisor after all the guards are dead and he won’t even react to me. I’m just used to it.
edit: the blinds from the scouts are annoying, and if you’re talking about pulls then it’s at least on its 3rd upgrade, so it should be more difficult to solo. Blinds? Learn to prevent conditions/cleanse. Pulls? Stability. I run a superior sigil of generosity on my main damage dealing set simply for the reason that it not only gives me an extra way to cleanse, it transfers the condition right back to them. I’ve also noticed that when the transfer occurs (on my War, at least) I’ll gain a few seconds of regeneration as well.

Why would it not? The only real problem with a fully upgraded camp is that aoe/cleave will only hit so many at once so it takes longer and there is a much better chance you’ll get overrun by people coming to defend it.
If you are having a hard time just bring 1 ranged weapon and focus the scouts first, and bring poison or make sure to interrupt the heals.

Sometimes if you aggro the guards far away from the camp they will run back and heal. So you need to pull them wisely or get in there. And if it’s an upgraded camp – and not fully upgraded – then they can pop up pretty quick with yak guards and roaming sentries.
My guess is you were taking an upgraded camp from a little too far away and ran into this.

This is the whole secret.
It’s pointless trying to cleanse the scouts blind, they just re-apply it on the next attack. Kill them first, and use a weapon which hits quickly so that the blind only affects a small proportion of your attacks.

I do not know if this is a recent change or a bug that is causing faster respawing but…
1.) The guards are now re-spawning ridiculously fast.
2.) They run away when at 10% health and super heal – even though you are in the same position when they were at 100% health.
3.) When guards do respawn they ALL respawn…I killed them one at a time yet 5 respawn at onceThe first upgrade now make s a camp untakable yet I can easily solo a tower.
Please fix by:
1.) simply making the guards either run away or not at a specific distance.
2.) Allow the guards to chase further out of camp. Because ATM a guard on the far side of the camp will do the run away thing if you are barely outside the circle on the opposite side.
3.) Chain blinds and pulls. They should do less of these.
4.) Make the blind – the next attack and not the next several.

Confirmed how? Do you have a video of them respawning more quickly or something? Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you all to solo a camp? Because the only thing I have spawning on me is the occasional dolyak (which is extremely annoying)

I’ve rolled about 30 camps in the last 2 days at least, and I haven’t noticed any difference.

No it’s not, you kite them behind the supply depot hut to cleave them down.

one thing that always bothered me about camp guards are the scout’s blind… they have the most insane reaction time ever! 100% of the time (unless they already used it) they will blind you the moment you start casting cloak and dagger (on a thief) it’s crazy x.x obviously you can get around it but… soooo annoying

There is a spot at every camp where you can pull the guards burn them quickly and take minimal damage. On my Necromancer I’ll herd them all together, drop a Well Of Suffering, hop in to Plague form then hop in to Death Shroud when it runs out and by then the Guild Claiming Vet is the last one left. On my Ranger, same strategy except I use traps and “Protect Me!” if necessary.
Upgraded camps can be a bit harder, so it’s best to take out a few guards before pulling them all together. The Quarter Master should ALWAYS be the first to go because she’s the weakest and deals the least damage which means one less enemy to worry about. And in most cases, if you position yourself properly, she’s one of the easiest to pull without aggroing the rest of the camp.
Also; It’s important that where you herd them all is out of the line of sight of the black powder users. If the ranged guards are able to fire at you while you cleave down the melee guards, your chances of dying go up significantly. You want ALL of them in melee range.

It shouldn’t take any longer than 60 seconds to wipe a camp. The remainder of the time is down to whether a yak spawns while you’re capping or not. Some people can flip it in less than a minute, it all depends on your damage and experience with it. But the guards WILL respawn if you take too long so don’t milk it.

Guards have a 3minute respawn timer, i have flipped 4356 camps by now and never noticed them respawning faster then that. Only those yaks Jim Hunter mentioned (screwed my cap over a couple of times contesting it and defenders run in to save it in time lol)

You can flip camps within 30-40s before anyone has time to see or respond to the white swords. Fully upgraded camps you can solo in 2-3 pulls but someone tends to always guard those. Hard enough to solo a upgraded camp and it only takes 1 defender to make that impossible.

Nice, you’ve got about double what I have. I never really looked in the achievement point lists because I couldn’t care less about it.

It took my 1 year to get 10k yaks. Yakslapper is a slap in the face title, no one will ever get it. 1million yaks, yea right :P. I wonder who thought it was a good idea to have the objective achievement 4-10x the amount of the kill achievements in wvw.

Having flipped 9569 camps thus far i can tell there’s anomoly’s in spawn behavior at odd times, i’ve had dolyak gaurds instantly respawn endlessly once and recenly i’ve had a few enemy dolyaks spawn in camps owned by oneself.
However most of the time the spawning seems in line and the habit of bugging out if you cap it during a spawn or an upgrade finish seems the most likely cause for spawn related bugs.
