as of now the upcoming WvW tournament will be in the format :

gold : Tier 1, Tier 2
silver : T3, T4,T5
bronze : T6,T7,T8

come on ANET, you know there is no chance a server from T5 gonna beat a server from T3, despite there will a free transfer to T5 servers. T3 will stomp T5 to dust anytime. no fight.

the format should actually be :
diamond : Tier 1, Tier 2
gold : T3,T4
silver: T5,T6
bronze : T7,T8

closest 2 tiers will bring closest fight. group them together.

Tournaments such as these highlight not only how critical the issue of WvW population imbalance has become, but how woefully lacking Anet’s response to the issue has been to date.

In an ideal world we wouldn’t even need leagues, but Anet has enabled, nurtured and even encouraged the precise opposite instead. Good job, guys. >_>

Has my vote and would allow for a shorter season which also would be better IMO.

If by “stomped” you mean PvDoor’d overnight then yeah… count me out.

T3 is not what you need to worry about except the server that sits atop it. A T5 server that gets a few active guild transfers is likely guaranteed 2nd place behind FA or DB.

T1 Do not worry, Blackgate now use cheat way into the castle to play the king

Ya… We begged for that last time also. It would be really great, but sadly I’m pretty sure Anet will just do the same leagues as last time.

FA is not tanking their rating. We are gaining in score, actually. The problem currently is that DB is gaining score so quickly that they will still pass us and force us down to tier 3.

T3 gets wrecked by the top server in their tier, and you want to throw them to the Tier 1 wolves?
It’s been over two months since T3 stopped being viable against Tier 2 servers. Not since SBI lost that heartbreaker in the final hours of the 1/3 match, has any match involving a Tier 3 server not involved over 100k point difference at the end of the match?

There’s no solution that won’t result in some ridiculous matchups.
