Please reconsider starting events on fridays
Dont tell them to move reset to another day x_x next thing yknow, reset will be like Tuesday nights when nobody can stay up late

Starting an event when nobody’s around to fix it is definitely the pinnacle of not giving a kitten.
So I think the later option is probably the best one.

I agree. It is also possible to launch on a friday, but then programmers should have had their weekend before and work on saturday and sunday as well to fix the important bugs.
Reset on Friday is a good day because it’s the beginning of the weekend when people are more free. Imagine reset on Monday and having the match be a blowout (as it always is) by the time everyone comes in to play on the weekend.
As for events starting on Fridays. We’ve seen devs work on emergency stuff over the weekends (I recall two instances where devs were thanked for doing so) — it’s just that this is WvW, so they probably don’t really care enough to do so.

So moving reset day is probably not an option. And we obviously can not count on emergency fixes over the weekend, even if this has happend before. What about this compromise:
- Start events during the week (like tuesday/wednesday) EotM only. If everything goes well roll out on friday for regular WvW.

Whole point is Tuesday is actually a better option. The best would be Sunday night. Weekdays are fairly sparse in WvW and are disproportionate to the score compared with the number of people on.
A dozen people can flip whole borderlands overnight, resulting in a massive score change. Proportionately the numbers over a weekend give fewer points per person on a server. By changing it the influx of people on weekends could give more people an effect on the final score.
Even better might be to confine the WvW matchups to just weekends (Friday night to Sunday night) and have the stupid anet events during the week.
