So I searched and searched(not on this forum search is kinda broken) but I could not find any official Anet telling how the numbers of people per map is calculated before the famous que sets in.
Anyone here got any information about how many people your borderlands, enemy borderlands can have? Is it calculated fair? Like can it have max 200 people per borderland and 199 can be the 2 other servers leaving you with just yourself to play with?
I am kinda surprised that there is so little information about this?

The devs do not release this information.

BL estimates are something like 80 per side.

Ranger pets and that sort of thing effect population levels (the devs have said). This is due to hardware performance, not balance.

EB is more than 80 per side.

One more reason why we hate Rangers.

Lol I did not realize that the devs are not willing to give these numbers, I cant imagine why they would keep that a secret…..

Er what do you mean Ranger pets affect WvW population levels? You mean a single pet counts as an individual player?

the problem is the numbers are not balanced. they just want to fill the server. i think there are 50 spot reserved for each border and the others are finders keepers.
