And guild nodes are are 24hrs…
PvE nodes hourly and rich nodes are 24hrs.
Generally if you are running a group that’s capturing often, you can collect off each camp/tower/keep 3-4 times a night.

Except for people who farm Raids, who can outright buy ascended armor using only Gold and Tokens. Or Fractal farmers, where T4 fractals drop ascended gear on a fairly regular basis.
Open world players obtain large amounts of salvageable loot, can generate and hoard enough gold to buy materials they can’t normally obtain. WvW offers nothing anywhere near that level of output to do via crafting… so really it will boil down to them buying refined ascended materials, and presuming they already have lvl 500 crafting. There needs to be a WvW reward track that gives out Asc armor pieces, or even bundle it into the Triumphant Armor reward box (since its a WvW exclusive anyway).
Well, I play only WvW and I got full ascended armor. Also reward tracks give another ton of loot and salvage material but I got my armor before that was added to the game.
I have 3 sets of ascneded gear and I had to grind my kitten in PvE to get it crafted. After HoT ascneded gear has become a lot more expensive to craft for WvWers since we dont PvE. So please implement a kitten vendor in WvW that sells ascended gear.
I am fully geared and I’ve only had 1 armor drop and 1 weapon drop, 1 weapon crafted Farm from PvE, but 3rd weapon, soon to be 4th weapon and all other armor has been crafted purely off wvw loot / tracks and nodes…+ 2 guild’s guild hall nodes.
It is doable…
I might just be lucky, but I’ve gotten like 5 ascended weapons and maybe 14 or so ascended armor drops just from the wvw track loot. I play maybe 2-3 hours a night, 5 nights a week maybe. shrugs

I like the idea, but my concern would be in the required amount of player participation to receive the full ticket reward. Would they be entitled if they visited wvw once or twice a month for their “Daily Land Claimer”?
It makes more sense to bring more rewards tied to skirmishes.
24/7 match is just too much of a commitment for the majority of casual gamers.

Well, this obviously doesn’t make any sense. Players need to compete to throw games for more reward?
I think there needs to be three levels of reward:
1. Base reward from participation. This should be the major portion of the reward. You do more, you get reward more.
2. Reward for winning. Obviously there needs to be incentive to try to win the game. However, because there is a shortcut for winning by transferring to larger server. This can’t give too much reward.
3. Reward for trying ones best on the weaker side. This is a bit hard to judge but has to be put in to counter the tendency to stack server. One way to do it is give everyone a participation score. Sum up all the score for players on the same server. Divide your score by the total to get your relative participation index. This index will determine your level of reward.

Until Anet figures out how to balance matches, how about you make your rewards scale with your participation, but the losing side still gets bigger rewards.
The BIGGEST problem with WvW is BALANCE. Always has been. You all want to reward the overpopulated, overcoveraged and overstacked. Well we’ve seen years of this garbage.
You want to kill WvW faster than it’s dying right now? Take a look at T2 NA. TC this week and JQ last week won over 90% of the skirmishes.
What incentive is there currently to transfer to SBI or FA? NONE
After you reward the winner there will be even less incentive to join them. Way to kill off the blue and red servers in every tier.
Players were stacking before there were any rewards, adding rewards will make it worse.
Balance first, rewards afterwards.
I’ve said it before, but I’ll throw it out there again.
Rewards balancing, to encourage not stacking is a simple solution.
Reward “pot (of gold)” is determined by skirmish placement.
Then each player each receives a share (maybe more shares for more participation).
The smaller server has fewer players, so each share of the pot is bigger.
Think of the rewards as pizzas, of varying sizes ( based on placement).
Then its cut up equally, and you get 1-x ( participation levels) slices of your servers pizza.
The fully stacked server may have a bigger pizza (assuming they win the skirmish), but it also has more mouths taking bites of that pizza.
People will balance themselves if they can get a bigger slice of pizza on a smaller server.

Rewards would follow as the past 3 WvW seasons:
-1st place, 100 tickets
-2nd place, 50 tickets
-3rd place, 25 tickets
These things were incentives? I still have all of mine in the bank. For me, Seasons were fantastic because of the competition they created, not because of any so-called “reward” they offered. Personally I feel attaching any kind of reward to WvW matches and/or activities within them is the problem, not the solution. If players don’t find the result of the match and of the individual skirmishes within the match sufficient motivation and reward then I can’t see the point of playing WvW at all.
As for Ascended gear, it should be treated like Exotics were in WvW and added to vendors for sale for badges. By all means make it non-equippable outside of The Mists so it can’t be used for PvE.
