emm yeah… that ’s possible as well, ’coz a spy can take the key but not take the orb…. anything that require the killing of guild lord is good….

+1 to this, Buff ends moment the orb is picked up. Make so you have to own the keep to get it also. This will further prevent hackers.
It’s possible to kill the guildlord from under the floor with the no clip hack. What I’d like to see is the orbs disabled until a suitable solution is implemented to deal with these exploits.
pretty obvious they need to fix these exploits and bugs before trying one of the ideas here. Hopefully they do something soon.
The solution is to plug the holes the hackers use. Its not just about orbs, but also puzzles, pvp etc.
I’d like to see the Orbs changed to something like siege weapons do more damage to structures instead of big bonuses to all the player stats. I happen to play on a server that is low for it’s bracket and shortly after the reset the opposing teams has 3 orbs. It’s amazing how well-paced the PVP is without the orb bonuses, but as soon as a team gets three the pacing goes to hell and it’s basically another 6 days of getting owned hard.
I would just be happy to see them disable the orbs entirely till they get everything sorted out.
Presently you can’t kill the lord until you break the altar.
That makes no sense. The altar dies in 2 hits. Really, what’s the point of this mechanic? It should be the other way around. You can’t break the altar until you down the lord.

+1 to this… I have lost any desire to even attempt playing PVP against a 3orb buffed player. I make no claims to be more than “decent” in playing my class in a PvP arena, but when one orb buffed player routinely wipes 2-4 non buffed players, something is wrong. You can’t catch a “nearly dead” player when they run, you can’t get away… you know the deal. And that it is being exploited… I will not set foot in WvW again until I know its fixed… tired of unnecessary repair bills.
I don’t mind dying, or losing, but I for dang sure want to “feel” like I have a chance of winning. When I see one server with 3 orb buff… nope, not a chance in hades… going back to chasing hearts and PvE events.

+1 This always bothered me too, while someone could hack threw the floor possibly, at least the flag would raise and it would be easy to see or report. Alas with the stealth fly in and out smash the alter in 2 hits, there is no chance for anything. Even if they fix these exploits, I also beleive this mechanic was reversed.
