But honestly, I’ve said all I have to say about this topic. ANet has responded but not decided on a course of action yet. If they don’t chose to act in some way then I will just stop caring about WvW because at that point it becomes nothing but a farce.

No wonder people stop playing WVW, this is 4 am uk time.

I was playing very late Saturday night and at about 4 am Gmt+1 we lost all our players that went to sleep and these french canadian dudes came out in force and took everything. No point in even trying to defend because we were like 4 and they were like 50+ attackers. Totally game breaking….

1pm – Whiteside Ridge/Miller’s Sound/Dzagonur.

The fights are fairly even during prime time.

5 more days? Are you assuming they will stick with the same server again and NOT just server transfer again?

Yes. I am bitter and annoyed. This needs fixing. This has ruined one of the biggest parts of the game for me.

Not too bad after the start we had Yesterdays 8 hour running defence of SM with 2 walls down and reds and blues double teaming us was day of legend for us!

It would seem we’ll be having Dzagonur again after this server matchup. I really hope ANet stops server transfer before the new matchup begins :/

Gandara WvWvWer here.

We’ve had a post complaining that Gandara hold 90% of the map at 4am and one showing Baruch Bay (SP) 3rd in their match.

Last week, we finished last in a relatively tight matchup which was won by Baruch Bay because of their superior night team. Over the week we improved our co-ordination and organisation (as well as off-peak numbers) and this is now paying dividends. Assuming BB’s night team stuck around, it appears they are now facing other servers with an off-peak presence, hence the fact that they are not steamrolling the map every night.

This seems to be the natural and intended evolution of WvWvW – servers with lower numbers on average through the ENTIRETY of the ‘war’ are eventually matched with similarly-populated opponents, while losing servers which have adapted to the 24/7 nature of the ‘war’ will come out ahead of servers further down the rankings. In time, the scores will look a lot more even in all tiers, but for now there are still going to be some creases, particularly on the high-mid and mid-low tier boundaries.

This obviously doesn’t cover exploits or the question of server transfers, but just my two cents on the night capping and ranking issues.

I think sometimes we forget that the game has only been out a month. We really should give it more time to stabilize, as Thordred says I’m sure things will equalize eventually.

Having said that, I had no idea some of the other matches other than my Deso one were even more one sided. Crazy.

This friday it seems my old server Far Shiverpeaks will face 2 french servers :P
Maybe Vizunah will stand a chanse now on day time when they can team up with their other Canadians and EU French ^^

Glad i transfered to USA, EU rankings are 100x more derped then their USA counter parts.

How is it meant to stabilise with free server transfers? Those scores mean absolutely kitten all (saved you from changing it) when all we have are transient hobos jumping servers all the time!!!

Come on ArenaNet enough with the jokes and “guesting” excuses, it is becoming ridiculous.

Toubzky most WvW players left Far Shiverpeaks some time ago, your fighting remnants and left overs, you may thank your canadian beavers for that.

I dont think nightcapping is an issue at all.

Message Body length must at least be 15.

I laugh at that phara miuh, if there are people who left, it will be because of the queue’s not because of you coming second in the top tier.

Fissure of Woe must be worst server ever, i made like 10 lvls from farming then alone at game launch because they kept running and running into cannon fire at their keep.

Well the leader roles must have left already and then you only have mindless random (small) zerg left. And that’s what’ll happen.

Any updates on scores?

Lets just hope they don’t plan on bringing in two week matches any time soon. When the ordering gets sorted then the matches will be a lot more fun. Right now there are a lot of servers that are ranked too high or low because guilds transferred to or away from them due to the queues, so the ranking they did during the daily matchups wasn’t as accurate as it needed to be.

Levelnine: i see you got that matchup this time, 2 german serves with guilds working together cross servers and a proper vampire night squad is how they won last time, all prime time hours they get spanked even with their co-oping yet every night they pull ahead.

Night capping is becoming such a drag for w3 and frankly anets responsed has me logging less and less and soon not at all for this.

I mean I expected things to be bad but THIS bad?

Every single matchup across all EU realms horribly broken beyond repair? That’s just sad.

But Arenanet said night capping is a great feature and everyone should be able to experience “the same content” even when it’s just the empty and desolated WvW zones + PvEing the gates part of the experience at nighttime.

@Harkain.5189, where did you get that idea from? No-one on Kodash worked together with Elona Reach… the opposite, we disliked them very much as well for their freaking organized zergs, even at night. Gunnar was just quite inactive and some on Kodash just don’t understand (or didn’t want to) that you must take the points from the leading server and not the weakest one and attacked Gunnar property anyway. Why would the 2nd rated server have any interest to work with the leading server? Companionship because both are German? Pffft, forget it. Red name = enemy, nationality doesn’t matter.

Not to belittle other peoples experiences but I don’t consider night-capping problematic until one server control 60+% of the map at night.
