Basically my server is getting stomped and a lot of people are just not bothering to do Wv3 now. So I wanted to switch servers to see what it’s like elsewhere, so I picked Ehmry Bay (mainly because I knew Wooden Potatoes has rolled on that server) and they are wrecking the other 2 servers they are against. So I left that server and joined Blackgate only to find that they are getting wrecked by Crystal Desert.

So are there any close matches going on or is it a case of one server totally dominating the other two? I was hoping to join a server that is on equal footing with at least one other server. It’s no fun to be on either side of a crushing performance.

P.S: Top 3 servers are not really an option since there are probably long queues there.

I don’t think it is possible to have close matches these days. If one person starts winning it is an exponential increase due to the compounding rewards the winning server gets.

I’ve been asking in several posts, and I haven’t heard of one yet.

Strike that – I THINK the top 3 NA servers are having a decent match. I know the top 3 EU servers are not.

So thats what, 1 game out of 16?

I’m not ready to call it unbalanced on three accounts. I know my server lost consistently until we got organized.

Mannn. Last night Black gate was at 35% or something and now we have lost it all. Wonder if Crystal Desert is like a Australian server or something.

Crystal Desert X Blackgate X Gate of Madness.

BlackGate got a HUGE advantage in the first night because of some random night squad?
In the begin of the second day they had almost everything and like 15k+ points lead over both CD and GoM.
Them CD begun a comeback with GoM right after them.
We were doing OK.
So some players of Crystal Desert begin to transfer to our server and begin to help the CD.

Until were i played we had like. 30 players+ in the black gates borderlands playing for CD.(defending their keeps, taking supplies of our keeps and wasting it).

We, somehow, hold our own with like 20~30 players in a fantastic demonstration of team work until Sunday mid afternoon, when i logged out.

Was a funny day. even we playing VERY outnumbered(we had 60~70 players and 20~30 were CD’s players)

When i logged today we had nothing with 10 balistas pointed to our WP. Nice. very very nice.

This is not fun, they are camping the spawn areas with ballistas for heaven sakes. Is this intended?

Just get a couple of elementalists and solve your problem.

Aren’t you the one complaining that a handful of elementalists make siege weapons useless?

No the top match up is only been close in potential points and the #2/3 slots. As stated the problem is one of snowball effect that it becomes exponentially harder to recover from any screw ups. At last count it on sunday it would take being +50 points per tick for the next 5 days to recover huge gains made.

TBH I’d rather they just got rid of the scoring and ticks all together for players. They can do that all behind the scenes but it just becomes demoralizing particularly in the longer matchs.

The only screen shots that are close are either Before pictures, or pictures of the #1, #2, #3 match.

The top 3 (JQ, SBI, HoD) has been pretty good. While HoD got an early lead, it actually has not really been growing. That suggests JQ and SBI learned quickly and next week’s match should be really interesting. HoD could probably even still lose this week if anyone can figure out a workable way to cap SM and protect it while defenses are built back up for a new owner.

we’re actually winning right now. Just gotta wait a week now for a new match. I give it up to the other two worlds fergusons and borlis pass. they’re not backing down and they’re still trying to fight and push through.

The person who gets third won’t be in next weeks match. Eredon Terrace will be. The third place will be booted down to the 2nd tier worlds. Whoever gets third will have tons of fun pwnting everyone next week.

Kaineng WvW is getting more players and the top guilds are getting more organized every day, we slaughter them left and right, but we cant hold anything being outnumbered 5 to 1, 24/7

you guys aren’t going to cope when ET/JQ lose to one of the “2nd tier” worlds.

The two and three slots are close. Had plenty of chances to pass Mag but DB seems to have a real love for attacking the Coast comparatively. Shame because as much as I’ve found a lot of Mag players to be fair folks, they’re not really that competent in my eyes. Just fortunate to not have to endure the zerg as much until the obligatory night flips. They’re average fighters but decent chaps. I’ll give them that. Save for a few rotten apples. It would have been a bit more interesting a match if we could have faced each other more.

DB? Well, they’re relentless and I admire their tenacity but they exhibit no tactics or strategy really. They just have a constant rotation of players. Read their “battle plans” on their forums before lockdown and it seemed detailed but in practice it’s just zerg, zerg, more zerg with the occasional zerg on top. If they move up in ranking, they’re in for a rude awakening.

Gunnars hold, Blacktide, Gandara is a decent match up.

Blackgate only had an 8k lead that first not night 15k.
I know because I was basically on the first 24 hours straight of the new WvW.

The entire weekend was actually fairly even until Monday night when CD had a weekday nightcrew and nobody else did. Since then everything is even all night it seems until CD night crew logs on and takes everything again.

Riverside is way above our level (Augury Rock), but the “AR vs Kodash part” is somewhat balanced : we were quite even in the last 1-day rotation against them, barely winning, and we only took the 2nd place two days ago.

The issue is that Riverside belongs in the T1 bracket IMO, but it makes 4 with VS, FS and Desolation, so there will always be one of them in the T2 bracket.

And don’t pay attention to the point ticks, that’s changing nearly every hour.

mines sad, rall with 110k, sorrows furance with 109k, then ya got aspen with 370k. Yes atm its night theirs mb 10 on my server, same with rall, and over 80 green roaming the map, atm all maps show green. Thanks Anet your matchs up work wonders, , NOT, Fix it.
