As players like me, from New Zealand and Australia, as it stands now, resents ends up being on a Sunday mid day, only really giving us half a day to play. when it was on Friday nights it was a Saturday for us, that was much better. What time won’t change too much for us as it will still be some time around mid day.

Please give back Friday Resets!

Move it back to how it was please, so that us Australian’s get two days to play a meaningful matchup and can get to reset still!

Yes please, to the return of Friday evening WvW resets. As for the time, 6pm PST. It gives people a chance to get off work, grab snacks on their way home, maybe have dinner/spend time with their family if they like and in game, guilds can host their reset raids at a reasonable time.

Best time is one hour after the dailies reset, the way it used to be, for example 5 p.m. PST and 8 p.m. EST. Of course this will change to one hour later this weekend. :p

Friday was so much nicer when it was reset. now friday nights are the lets screw around maybe possibly in EotM cause the scores already determined in WvW. please change it back.

Change it back to Friday (Saturday for us Aussies) and stop the slow death of this game.

But, on the servers I’ve been on, the wvw population tends to die off a lot around 9PM PST/midnight EST, so 7 PM PST/10 PM EST seems really late for reset.

As a PvE player who recently started playing WvW I would love this change! It would make it so that more players can be active given the extra day during the weekend!

Definetly going back to the old reset time is better. Currently it feels like it’s 1 day of reset beacuse people want to crash early on Sundays, where as before it used to be 2.5 days of reset which lead to a lot more fun over the entire weekend.

This change would amazing. More weekend prime time? Sign me up.

Yes please! Eastern time zone NA player here, and even though I teach a class on Friday nights, I would still love reset night to be on Friday. I always loved coming back from the pub after class for some Friday night WvW raiding with my guild. The Saturday reset just didn’t have the same magic fun times, and Friday nights were rather dead because the matches were mostly decided by then.

Yes to the move of reset back to Friday! I miss my start of the weekend killing spree to work off the stress from the week.

I also like the times that are proposed. While 10pm est may seem late, most are on through-out the night, it gives est and pst people alike some time to get home, eat, do some real-life things before re-set. Also, when the time moves back in the fall it will be at 9

Most didn’t like when you moved reset to Saturday, I don’t think you need to ask whether ppl want reset back on Friday. Just do it please. Oh and 7pm pst is too late, try 5-6pm pst.

Definitely approve of going back to Friday. The original time would be better for the east-coasters, but the reasoning provided for the later time is pretty solid. A+ all around, hope it can be implemented sooner rather than later

Confused about why the practical target patch time is moving with daylight savings. Would’ve expected 4:30 pm PST before DST and 4:30 pm PDT after DST. Is everybody going to stay at work an hour later after DST?

I take it you don’t “get it”, how servers work. The time will not change with standard time vs dst because servers operate on UTC/GMT time (which never changes). So when your clock changes, reset “becomes” an hour later (or earlier). It’s still physically the same time, therefore the game servers are never altered. It’s your clock that is altered.

So if the servers were set to reset @ 0100 – that will always be 2000 eastern STANDARD time. When the whole east coast switches their clocks an hour ahead for dst it “becomes” 2100, but the server is still resetting at the same exact physical time of 0100 UTC/GMT.

This is why we NEED to ditch the BS “DST”, it causes too much confusion! The lovely state of AZ doesn’t honor DST! Man I can’t wait to move there!

I think this year, in protest, I’m personally not going to honor DST!

I honestly tried to ‘settle’ with Saturdays as the new reset, but it’s too close to Monday, so switched back to tagging on a Friday for our end of the week blow out. At the moment neither Fridays or Saturdays are as good as they used to be (Ktrain on Friday and Saturday, Saturday nights just don’t have that end of the week Friday Feeling). I would love this switched back to get the weekend WvW as it used to be.

Personally don’t really care. But since everyone else seems to like it on Fridays, by all means change it back and make them happy. Everyone I’ve talked to either wants friday or doesn’t care which day. No particular wishes on time.

I think this would be the best “in between” for both those of us who want it changed, and those of us who do not.

Me personally, I couldn’t care less. You could make reset WED @ 17:00 UTC/GMT and I still wouldn’t personally care. I look at it this way, it’s going to reset once per week anyway, so what does it much matter WHEN this happens! I gave my answer as to what I believe would be the best business decision to make That and I have OCD so, 0300 (or 3 hours) is an exact 1/8th of a day >.>

Please change it back, same time too.

A return to Friday would be much better. Breaking that reset routine was as harmful to the WvW community as many other changes that have been much maligned.

+1 for Friday. 6 PST sounds a bit late for EST players, but still better than Saturday.
