Silver – Fort Aspenwood, Stormbluff Isle, Isle of Janthir, Borlis Pass, Yak’s Bend, Henge of Denravi, Crystal Desert, Sanctum of Rall, Sorrow’s Furnace.

Bronze – Darkhaven, Ferguson’s Crossing, Gate of Madness, Devona’s Rest, Northern Shiverpeaks, Kaineng, Ehmry Bay, Anvil Rock, Eredon Terrace.

Seeing the downward spiral that SoR is in, they should actually be in Bronze during the Tournament, but their rating won’t be low enough for quite some time. Shame. It will be close to between Dragonbrand and Fort Aspenwood when it comes to the Gold/Silver league cutoff. Same goes for Sorrow’s Furnace and Northern Shiverpeaks when it comes to Silver/Bronze. I would throw Ferguson’s Crossing into the mix, but after hearing they are purposely tanking so they can stay in Bronze (and try to get free transfers).

At this point if Ft Aspenwood makes it into Silver it won’t be worth the time in WvW.

As someone currently fighting them, I can assure you they are not tanking anything.

I’d even say that the only reason NSP is currently projected to drop down to Bronze is because of how hard FC is pushing on us despite being third in the matchup.

We have lost several larger guilds – we don’t belong in gold and possibly not even in silver.

DB really needs to go up to t2 next week, because as it stands FA is more then holding our own in t2 and mag crushed DB last time they matched up, the only reason their rating is so high is because SoR is completly dead and not dropping fast enough due to anets flawed rating system. More likely then not FA will be in gold league, and we are pushing hard to make sure we get into it.

Unless the RNG favors you, there isn’t a chance of you staying in gold. DB is going strong for that 6th place spot, and by beating us (SBI) and totally dominating a defeated server in SoR, they are getting massive overall points. If they overtake you this week, there is a good chance that they would lose that spot the next week and allow you to slide into gold, but if you hold on this week (looks like you might) and the match ups remain the same for the next week, then you are gonna be winning silver, yet again.

Maguuma is in ppt try hard mode, FA can’t realistically beat that. The supreme irony will be if FA ppts just enough that DB comes up the following week, instead of next week.
I want DB up in T2 next week. If they want gold and play hard they’ll get it. If they are a fairweather ppt sink, then we will get FA back up here in time for the tournament to start.

Gold is going to be completely up to the RNG. Whichever server in T2 falls into T3 next week from the RNG, they are practically guaranteed a Gold entry. So if FA rolls low and DB rolls high, FA would probably be in Gold and DB in Silver. The inverse is also true. Mags has an outside chance of landing in Silver but highly unlikely.

The same is also true of Bronze. Depending on the RNG SF or NS will end up in Silver.

At this point their is no predicting it only guessing because that RNG could throw a serious curve. What I am fairly certain of is whichever T2 server lands in T3, they will dominate and easily take home 1st place making every other server in Silver miserable during those matches.

I’d like to think that NSP is better suited for silver than SF is.. but we already did our tour of duty at the bottom of silver last season so I would rather SF gets it this time around :P

You may not have a choice. If DB lands in T3 next week, they might be able to throw the match and drop in points but it will not be easy. If DB draws a T2 match next week and FA draws T3, DB ends in T3 no matter what they do most likely.

What keeps you guys in WvW? Your SEA does nothing but PvD, but they are at it every night. Don’t they long for anything close to an even fight?

No… they often skip hardened targets and rarely engage in open field. That said they are extremely adept at taking hardened keeps when they put their mind to it. Even though they don’t actively seek open field fights, do not mistake that for the inability to do so.

We are kept in WvW by an incredibly strong Pacific presence (mostly China and Australia, maybe some Japan and Korea). You’ll see it in the morning when our chat goes Mandarin. They’ve been putting in more time too. I see TFV running well into 1pm eastern (like 2am their time). Our NA presence is regarded to be weaker than most servers but it buys time for the Pacific presence to kick in. If we hit T1 silver I expect to see a large jump in activity during NA primetime and possibly Euro primetime. That part will be what drives us to compete with Gold league in season 3. If we hit T2 gold then we’ll get destroyed and probably sink back down to T10 or lower (and get to fight Straegen’s guild again on a more frequent basis).

In this regard hoping for silver is not weak, it’s looking out for my server’s longevity in WvW. We don’t have the capability to fight off Gold league servers yet.

The ideal situation for NA would be 3 tiers x 9 servers like EU. Ah well

Lower ranked servers will have a hard time against higher ranked servers, who will get a lot of bored players. We shall see.

DB doesn’t have the skill to compete in t2, and t2 servers will pick their NA apart.

I did say numbers-wise. If they keep playing against T2+ servers, they have to improve somehow. Their massive SEA is stuck playing against doors 9 matches out of 10, and that’s why they crumble against stiffer opposition.

What’s happening to DB now is their SEA rolls over helpless opposition and don’t know how to fight, so they win most matchups in landslide fashion yet have no chance against higher tier servers. It just sounds like such a boring situation to be in.

If you guys keep saying you can’t handle T2 after PvD’ing <T2 into oblivion then you will never get the transfers you need to be competitive.

DB is in a crucial decision moment. I fail to understand understand why anyone on DB is talking about wanting to stay in Silver and karma train. You might as well PvE champ farm, the rewards are higher.

Servers that tanked last season have had a stink/stigma to them that is not easy to shake.

Everyone knows that once leagues roll around FC will evolve into its final form and hit 600+ ppt day and night. At least, that is what the rumors tell us.
