Hi there,

I’m the guild leader for Supply and Demand [SAnD], located on the Maguuma server. It was recently brought to my attention that some members of SAnD were accused of glitching into a keep during our WvW match-up last week. I have been able to confirm that two of our members did indeed exploit into that keep. The confirmation came via a video that we were able to record as this took place. We promptly provided that video to ArenaNet, along with the appropriate supporting details.

Supply and Demand [SAnD] takes exploiting VERY seriously and these players were called on this behavior and immediately removed from our guild. We can also report that they have since left the Maguuma server. It upsets me that this exploit happened, particularly by members wearing our guild tag. This behavior is definitely NOT what SAnD is all about and I hate to see something like this tarnish our good reputation. I assure you that I will do everything possible to avoid having something like this ever happen again. The rest of the SAnD membership is as committed as I am to the highest ethical standards of play.

An exploit like this is also not what Maguuma is about, and I apologize to the server that this unfortunate episode took place. I hope that the actions of these two individuals will not taint the reputation of our server in the eyes of our competitors. We felt that it was in the best interest of the WvW community to report what we found and the subsequent actions that we have taken.

We stand ready to continue to fight honorably on the battlefield with our fellow citizens of Tyria!

May I congratulate you on your actions. All we can try and do is investigate all allegations and do what you have done. All servers have these issues and until we get a fix from Anet we must try and police this the best way we can. I salute SAnD and I hope you gain much respect as a guild as a result.

Good job kicking them from your guild. Sorry you had people do something like that you trust but we can only control what we see and do.

I doubt people will hold your whole guild accountable for the actions of a few.

Thanks everyone for the supportive comments. We really want to stress that this was not our guild as a whole, this was a couple people that obviously do not represent who and what we are. I want to send major respect out to Doom, our glorious leader. Without him we would all be at a loss of what to say =) And just as much respect out to our members who spoke up, and people like them that will stand up to things like this.

Master Yoda, if you have knowledge of ANY SAnD members doing so please let myself or Doom know and we will deal with it promptly and efficiently. We have ZERO tolerance. Thank you.

I think he’s talking about the big dome structure above the supply depot in the “vale” supply camp. There’s some screenies of a thief up there stopping a capture. People are using macros to spam spacebar at incredibly fast speeds so they can scale objects like Spiderpig.

Its not an exploit. You can get up there by jumping (no wall running or keyboard macros necessary). You must have swiftness (you cannot make the second jump without it). I’ll see if I can record a video of the jumps you need to make (the second one in particular is very difficult).

You are also targetable by 1200 range aoe and projectiles whilst standing on the supply hut, so if the circle doesn’t cap, run around the back and look up. We have thought about holding it with chain stealth but with a 1200 range pull and aoe its not hard to clear the roof. I wish people wouldn’t throw around accusations and reports without asking how something is done first and without testing whether its reproducible themselves.

I just want to say that seeing this post restores my faith in the people who play this game. I salute the OP and all players who think honor is more important than points. You’re awesome.

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I will admit, we were rather apprehensive to post this because we feared tarnishing our guild’s name even more than it was but as a guild we unanimously decided that it was the honest and right thing to do.

We will pick ourselves up, dust off and move forward. We sincerely promise to (re)earn everyone’s respect out in WVW on Maguuma as well as opponent servers. Again, we thank you all for your understanding on the very embarrassing issue.
