Anet, please nerf boons by putting caps on duration and intensity stacking, especially Resistance. It’s getting to the point of being ridiculous when I fight a zerg and because of boonshare mesmers, they have 25 stacks stability, 2 minutes of resistance, 1.5 minutes of retaliation, etc, etc…they pretty much have every boon permanently. Please nerf this.

lol – no – 25 stacks of stability can be blown with one DH trap. Resistance is very weak if not useless.

Also, you shouldn’t be fighting a big group solo.

Well protection is a VERY wrong boon to be honest, in most games these things have cd but in this mmo … =p

Also Dusty .. if I for example don’t go for those people who outnumber me I mostly won’t find anyone to fight =)

Something that can be done is making the server that outnumber people gets a debuff that makes them unable to hard res =)

I agree. It’s been mentioned several times in the “top 5..” thread as well – boonshare compositions will most likely become a problem when stab gets buffed.

The game would greatly benefit from a reduction in the number of times duration-based boons can stack. Honestly, I’d like it to be a very low number like 2, maybe 3 at the most. The obvious benefit of this is that it forces more active play – instead of prebuffing, you’d have to run proper rotations during the fight, which requires much more communication and teamwork. This would make boons like resistance much less of a crutch.

I’m not entirely sure on the mechanics of Signet of Inspiration. If a share is considered a single boon application, we’d need a change to that at the same time (i.e. you share 6s of resistance that comes from 3 separate applications, it should count as 3 stacks on the ally you share to).

lol, stand, i was about to say that…resistance is weak? wut game r u playing, dusty? and 25 stacks of stab blown by ONE dh trap? lmao seriously, do u play wvw? with perma 25 stacks of stab and boonshare mes’s, you can pretty much faceroll any cc…and b/c u seem to need clarification, when i say that i am fighting zergs, i mean when i am fighting zergs with my own group.

Boons and more importantly sustain is quasi-OP in small scale fights and nearly useless in zergs at least for melee. Pirate Ship is a real thing because of the stability nerfs and 25 stacks are utterly useless at least in T1. If DH didn’t have Wings of Resolve virtually no zerg on zerg melee action would take place.

They are visible, if you can’t see them they’re just getting culled.
