PvE BS in WvW? Scribing....
This is what the game mode has become. Either grin and bear it or quit because it’s certainly not going to change for the better.
Eh, I wouldn’t consider this PvE BS.
Because I don’t think it’s even suitable even for PvE. It’s a pve reject, which some may consider HoT WvW content to be in a similar category.
Wouldn’t it be totally awesome if guilds could just summon those during raids, and trivializing the content? Or whatever the farm of the day is. That would of course impact the oh-so-important economy and nerf it tomorrow. But this doesn’t happen because at least some degree of thought is given to pve content.
This is nothing but a gold sink. Slaves to the TP.
Also I find it humorous the banners give you a break bar. Hey, look there’s your stability guys. It was taken away and repackaged as new content, hmmph.

Dragon Banners hitting every player for 10k dps. Airstrikes hitting for 10k. Turtle banners giving full stab for half a minute. Centaur Banners CCing and Immobing. Guards auto defending and gates auto defending. What’s up with all this PvE crap? WvW Players have been complaining about Anet adding more PVE to WvW since THE GAME STARTED. Is Anet ever going to nerf or remove this stuff? Maybe triple the cost.. it’s just so hard to play offense when these cooldowns are like 15 min or passive. These NEED to be nerfed in damage, increased in price, or have their cooldowns super bumped.
I would avoid raising the price as a solution. P2W might start creeping into WvW.
that’s anet thinking wvw needs. remember the peg leg disaster? perma cc with pve content. did anet learn? no. they think they are doing us a favor bi adding " amazing" new things, but they refuse to see that all these things are op in wvw.
what anet needs to do:
split wvw and spvp balance again
rework guild achievements and guild upgrades and remove banners
make guild upgrades easier to achieve for small guilds
remove all pve gimmick especially buffs
actually try to play real wvw
listen to the community
admit mistakes and roll back instead of trying to fix the issue for 19 patches!

Here is the best possible advice for ANET:
Step 1: Take everything you added for HoT in WvW and remove it. It sucks. Literally it is horrible design.
Step 2: As part of step 1, add back in the alpine borderland maps
Step 3: Get a new WvW design lead. The current vision is terrible and I think your player stats will show it.
Step 4: Put a hold on this WvW redesign and get some player input. Not the PvE people but those in primary WvW guilds.
Do it. It isnt that hard.
The current ANET group of devs isn’t capable of anything better than HoT. And HoT is garbage. The craptastic new guild system is the height of their abilities. Think about it, they actually think that is good design.
WvW is dead because of incompetence.
The WvW guards need to be competent, because they make for really good rally bots when they suck (looking at you, quartermaster). However, the banners are a little too super weapony

Im assuming they are here to stay, but surely something you use entirely in WvW should be able to be achieved through WvW in the form of badges/heroics/missions/award tracks/ actually kittening playing WvW.
Not pharming mats in PvE. We just need that idiot to come on here and say “well when you say you like to WvW what you really mean is you like to PvE”. Oh really professor, so no means yes? Tell us more blanket statements.
Im sure some people do like both game modes absolutely, wanting that next rainbow unicorn skin or some kitten so when you /dance rainbow unicorns fly out and fart leprechauns. But me, no, i dont kittening like to PvE I PvE because im constantly kittening broke from WvW.

They need to remove that requirement. No only does it not make much sense, as it always have been a single “steward’s task” for Siege & Defense players, it will also encourage more players in the guilds to do this guild mission for more Commendations and Resonance Slivers you need for crafting.
To make WvW players less dependent on farming mats for tactics and improvements, they should add a “buy once a day for Karma option” to the NPC that sells those Badges of Tribute in our GH.
e.g. (not really calculated market value, just an idea)
>> one time a day: Buy 1x “Linen Supply Sack” for x Karma
>> one time a day: Buy 1x “Bag of Lumber” for x Karma (or Ore, Cloth, Flax, Pigments)
It could offer a Karma sink for WvW players, adding an additional “in game mode” for getting materials and slow down those inflated prices of materials on the TP.
Still keeps a volume of Kurzick poems ;)
