For the new map no, the map will be free for everyone.

Pretty sure most elite specs won’t be roflstomp superior in WvW.
I mean what do we get?
-necro : nice to have but staff+Wells will be strong enough to compete with range
-mesmer: could in deed be fun
-engi : meh
Ele: staff will stay mandatory
Ranger? Probably not much more useful as right now
Guard? Hahahahahahaha
Warri/thief: we will see, but it won’t be too op compared to the existing classes.

Nope. At this point we’re not even sure the elite specs will make it to wvw (they could pull something that stupid, they could)….

Personally I wouldn’t give a company that clearly doesn’t care about ALL it’s players any more money. Which is pretty much my plan.

What a joke. None of the elite specs look like they’ll be very strong at all. For example, the Necromancer? That is a joke itself. The Reaper trait line is 90% garbage just to be able to wear a GS and have to be in melee range to fight people. My necro being full zerk axe/dagger and dagger/focus will be incredibly stronger than these GS ones because I’ll have Spite, Soul Reaping and Blood Magic at my disposal and won’t have to lose one just to wear a GS.

I can’t speak much to the rest of the classes because Necro is the only one I bothered to look in to. I can pretty much promise that I’m not going to have any issues fighting these with my Necro or Guardian because their builds are already solid. The only way Anet could really improve my Guardian is to give it a permanent 25% movement speed bonus.

Yeah the reason i ask is so i know i can play WvW and not give Anet money for thier bull crap support of WvW.

I think that new map should be only for players who have bought hot. Other players can play in EotM and eb.

This. Considering the amount of support and communication (both zero) Anet has provided during this exploit week, I wouldn’t give them my money.

Our family has 13 gw2 accounts. I asked all the kids if they were interested in getting HoT and all said they would pass. The ones that still play are only into WvW.

I would be with you if I was one of the complete freebie players, just buy the game then never spend a dime on it again, however, I am not one of them.

In fact, over my time playing this game I bought the original Deluxe Edition, + spent more on it then a sub based game would have been, so the total far exceeds costs of original + subs + already paid for HoT expansion.

Due to same reasons as other posters in this thread I Have stopped paying A-Net and do not intend to resume until or unless I see something that I specifically feel is worth a payment.

I should note, that I am a WvW focused PvX player and it is the population imbalance / nightcapping, that is the biggest factor in my determination of this decision. Overall staleness in WvW is 2nd, then all else.

I’ve already got more PvE than I’ll ever do in this game. Living story is waste for me.
I had no idea so much of the development budget was going to go for single-use pve content. When I buy a game who’s name is synonymous with Team Fighting, I expect a mostly PvP oriented experience.

I’d really love to buy a map pack ala fps games.
