Are the bonuses obtained during the World vs World match lost when everything resets, or are they applied for a week long period after a match ends?

If the first is true, it would make WvW stupid in the sense that winning means everything resets to nothing, so in winning everyone loses. If the later is true, where winning a match spells out the bonuses we obtain for a week, then there is some worth to playing WvW.

I’ve wondered for far too long on this.

There is a buggy wug with them anyway.
