Guild Wars 2

First off, Greetings! I’m a member of a small DB guild that seeks to WvW between the hours of 2pm and 10pm eastern throughout the week. Unfortunately ever since DB got a new influx of Oceanic players we’ve moved up a couple of tiers and it’s becoming something of a mess to not get immediately zerged upon leaving a keep.

So, we’re looking to help bolster a server in a lower tier that has a more active player base around our time frame. We’re trying to avoid getting out-manned in 10 to 1 scenarios so we’re wondering about the climate of your server. Feel free to leave your opinions. Thanks in advance! And see you on the field!

Tier 5 has been IOJ, DR, and whichever tier 4 server has been bad/unlucky enough to drop a slot in the ratings. Our primetime population tends to be about the same across all 3 servers (at least until a server starts to take off in points), but both IOJ and DR have significant coverage issues, while whichever server drops from tier 4 has had nearly 24 hour coverage. Perhaps I am being presumptuous in saying so, but consider tier 6. We tend to have very close and competitive match-ups, with a lot of friendly (and not so friendly) inter-server rivalry. I personally play on Borlis Pass, and naturally will put my plug in for us, but you really can’t go too wrong. T6 has a nice balance of population, giving opportunities for both zerg-level, small group, and individual roaming play styles. I also would like to put in for tier 6, I am from Northern Shiverpeaks and DB was one of the toughest opponents outside the old darkhaven I remember fighting, we are also the smallest of the 3 tier 6 servers so could use a few more in numbers! BP is also a great bunch though and have been fun to fight…though they have numbers everywhere!!!

Most of T6 is on BP. I would try to bat for my own team but (being a commander living in Australia) AR has no real night crew so you may end up feeling the same way, although I would doubt BP is anywhere near as strong as DB’s night crew so it may be more fun to fight against! We do need more oceanic players however…

Devona’s Rest in my opinion is in the process of rebuilding after a lot of guilds left. We have a super strong NA primetime crew, but lack coverage at other times. If you are looking for a strong community to call your home, give DR a shot! A group of 5~10 people make a huge difference in Wv3.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. All these servers seem like a lot of fun and way more casual about their wvw experience. We’ll be making a decision soon.

Hey, hey, don’t forget SBI! We may have just entered the tier a few weeks ago, but we’ve been crashing ever since we lost a lot of guilds before free transfers ending. Some new blood is always good for the soul.
