Does each level continue to always cost 1000 xp?

Is there a limit to how many you can get? I remember previous talk on the forums by ANET about this seemed to imply you needed to make choices.

Wondering if it’s safe to go ahead and make the cheap purchases in lesser categories without worrying that I’m kept from doing the more expensive stuff like supply due to a hard limit on the amount of levels you can get.

I believe it caps out at 5000 I’ve read. I’ve also read that there are over 2000 ranks right now, at the very least there needs to be 700 ranks to max out all the skills, and they’ve confirmed you can indeed max out all the skills.
