I know it seems unrealistic to even ask, but do we have a real-time eta for 2 week fights (not that I do or don’t want them, this is pure curiosity), and the month-long cooldown on World Transfers?

Currently we feel that one week matches are the right length for WvW and so we don’t have any plans to change the match length at this time. Should the game evolve to a point where two week matches make sense then we will, of course, consider making that change.
I don’t know if or when world transfer cooldowns might change.

To me, the 1 week match up has proved to be long enough, hopefully they will re-think thier fortnightly plans & leave it at its current state.

i really hope they listen to us enough to know that 2 week fights are just too much, too long for a server that getting destroyed or destroying
When was the last time they even talked about it? I’m guessing they gave up on the idea.
The 7 day limit on transfers seem to be effective at stabilising the wvw population issues. The evolution in points aren’t as big as before. Why do we need a month limit?

I’m grateful for one-week fights – I’m not terribly interested in WvW, but I really want to obtain my world map completion achievement, and three weeks of waiting for WvW fights to “cycle” is a heck of a lot better than waiting a month and a half.
One week seems to be good. I like the excitement that begins during each weekend reset, and matches that drag out too long lose momentum. Longer matches would suck if you are the server being whooped.
1 week is about right. I mean, let’s be honest one server usually has a massive lead by the 5th day to the point they can not do WvW at all for2 days and still win.
Only way to balance it out would be to the cut the points per cap in half.

Some minor housekeeping, but you should drop the “s” in weeks from the following statement on the WvW section of the website:
“Three huge teams —each representing a server, or world—battle for control over objectives on four massive maps in wars that last for weeks.”
Usually by the end of the week the gains are so far ahead that one team has all their players riled up and the other two just die off in WvW. It needs to be kept refreshing, imo. One week is perfect.

Good catch, thank you! I’ve passed that feedback on to the folks who make words appear on web sites. I don’t know how their update schedule goes but I imagine it will be corrected soonish.
